In Kazakhstan, for example, back in the sixties, they successfully caught and are now catching three to five kilogram carp per bottom with a feeder. Do-it-yourself feeder rod

Quiver type insert
Tulip spinning is removed with pliers and heat. Inside hollow tip, if the diameter allows, a quiver-type is inserted and fixed with a thread winding, capturing the tip of the spinning rod as well.
If the tip is intact, small pieces are cut off from it until a hollow inside appears, suitable in diameter for inserting a quiver-type (photo 3).

The disadvantage is the inability to restore spinning.
Fiberglass rod feeder
Buy a set of quiver types. The tip of the rod is removed. A sleeve is machined from a suitable material, which plays the role of an adapter. The outer diameter of the sleeve should be similar to the inner diameter of the second section of the rod. Into the inner hole of the sleeve interchangeable quiver types are inserted (photo 4).
