What to see in Kerch
The city of Kerch is very ancient, with more than a thousand years of history. During its existence, the Greek civilization also visited here, the Roman emperors managed, the Turks captured. Thus, so many cultures and religions are mixed in the history of the city of Kerch that it could not but leave an imprint on its historical heritage.
The locals told us that such a huge amount of archaeological treasures have been preserved in the city and its environs, and so little attention is paid to their excavations, that until now, during heavy rains, Greek coins and amphorae float out of the hills.

It is unfortunate that today the work on the restoration of this ancient fortress has not been carried out. It is interesting to visit, but it is not half as attractive for tourists as the restored fortress in Sudak. The only plus is that the entrance here is always free and free.
Only elements of the walls and some towers have survived.
There is hope that over time, the forces and means for the restoration of this historical monument will still be found.
