The best silicone lures for zander, perch and pike

Consider the most catchy silicone lures for spinning fishing.

There are several types of silicone baits:

The silicone bait imitates the movement of a small fish. The design of the bait is such that during wiring (winding the fishing line), the silicone creates movements similar to the movement of a fish, thanks to the back, resembling the tail of a fish. The main purpose is jig fishing for predatory fish.

This is a bait with an elongated body and a soft tail or two tails, which may well imitate the movements of a frog. A very effective lure. It can be used both with a conventional hook and with an offset one, which allows you to catch places with underwater obstacles.

This type of bait belongs to passive baits that do not have their own game. To make the bait effective, its movements are imitated with the help of special wires. In this case, in terms of catchability, they are no worse than vibrotails and twisters. On small silicone worms, you can successfully catch white fish.

Other baits

Recently, you can find silicone baits that resemble animals, crustaceans, frogs, squids, etc. Since they appeared not so long ago, they are made from "edible silicone". For fishing, closer to the surface of the water, you can use a frog, and for the bottom layer, a crayfish is perfect.

Accessories for silicone

The composition of such equipment includes a load, an offset hook and a few beads, for greater attractiveness. The hook is attached to the leash (preferably from fluorocarbon). The leash is knitted directly next to the sack-shaped load. The silicone worm is mounted on the hook in such a way that it does not leave the body of the bait, but is practically at the exit.

At the end of the main line, a sinker is tied and a hook, fixed either on the main line or on a leash, is located 50 centimeters higher. The equipment is more effective if the hook is located on a separate leash. At the same time, the bait, together with the hook, must have a minimum weight so that it can play in the water column. With this equipment, you can fish both from the shore and from a boat.

It has some similarities with the "Texas", but the load and the bait, which is on a leash, are located at some distance from each other. In this equipment, as in the previous one, offsets are used. During the movement, the cargo is dragged along the ground, raising clouds of turbidity, which will certainly lure the fish. Caroline rigs use floating baits, which reduces the likelihood of hooks.

In this equipment, the load and the bait are at a certain distance from each other. In this case, the load is attached to the main line with a swivel and a separate leash. A leash with an offset hook is attached to the end of the main line. The length of the leash can reach 1 m or more. In the "Moscow" equipment, the use of an offset hook is mandatory, and the bait is mounted in such a way that the result is a non-hook. This is necessary in order to protect the equipment from hooks, which will certainly lead to breaks.

Perch rig

Equipment for perch fishing is selected depending on the conditions of fishing and the nature of the bottom of the reservoir. If there is a clean bottom, then "Caroline" or "Moscow" will do. Twisters with positive buoyancy are used as bait. If the bottom is not clean and there are snags and other interference, then it is better to use the "Texas" equipment. For point fishing of a reservoir, a “drop-shot” is best suited. The fishing technique is such on the "drop-shot" that you can take passive lures in the form of worms.

Equipment for walleye

As far as we know, pike perch leads, basically, a benthic way of life, and in order to catch him, you need exactly bottom gear. To equip it, you need to take and attach a triple swivel to the end of the main fishing line. A sinker is knitted to a metal leash (so that the pike does not bite off). The leash, from 25 to 40 cm long, is knitted to the lower ring of the triple swivel. How heavy a sinker you need to use depends on the presence and strength of the current. The faster the current, the heavier the load must be.

A long leash (at least a meter) is attached to the middle ring (to the middle swivel), on which an offset hook with a silicone nozzle is installed. It can be a vibrotail or a twister. The bait must be active, that is, it must have its own game.

Most Popular Models

Not so long ago, baits from "edible" silicone appeared on the market. This is silicone, to which an attractant has been added. It turns out that the bait does not have the smell of silicone, but the smell of, for example, squid.

The most famous today can be noted:

  • Gary Yamamoto;
  • Mega Strike;
  • ecogear;
  • BassAssassin.

Such baits have odors such as the smell of cancer, bloodworms or worms. In fact, these are universal smells to which the fish reacts in the first place, since they correspond to its daily diet.

Curly Curly Bubbling Shaker and G-tail Grub Reins are great for zander.

Such well-known lures as Vibra 90 mm Shooter and Slim from the famous company Kosadaka can easily compete with these lures. They have a balanced selection of attractants, which effectively affects the biting of zander.

Freaky Rockra Shad and Sator Worm silicones can be no worse. They include particles of fish and crustaceans.

Lures such as SexyImpact (Keitech), Daiwa Tournament, and Reins silicones are widely used for perch fishing. When choosing baits, special attention should be paid to their colors. Cola, Green, Pumpkin, Nagoya, Shrimp and Kiwi Seed show good results. Perfectly caught perch on the bait of Japanese firms. Heavy Swamp and Shake Swamp lures are very popular. It is very important that the baits have the right color, size and flavor.

To catch pike, it is better to take baits that look like fish fry and the fish itself. Silicone lures from well-known Molix and Reins companies work better.
