In the 15th-16th centuries, the Ottomans occupied the cape, and in the 18th century, the Russian Empire received it. Stalin renamed the village Ordzhonikidze, since then this name has remained.

The locals call Agate Beach Zavodskoy. Since the steps leading to the beach begin near a military plant, where military weapons were tested before the Great Patriotic War. German soldiers tried to evacuate this plant, but they did not succeed.

Further from st. Lenin needs to be turned to Mount Vasyukov, on the reverse side there will be convenient concrete steps to the beach.

Please note that bus number 20 takes a longer route (about 40 minutes).

It is also convenient to get to the beach by your car, which can be left in the free parking near the descent of the steps. The distance of 15 km from Feodosia can be overcome in 20-25 minutes.

The name appeared due to the agate pebbles that come across here quite often near the coast. The beach area is also famous for its close reef ridge, which serves as a good bait for divers.

The infrastructure here is not too rich, but you can rent an umbrella or sunbed. The cafe is located above the actual beach, at the beginning of the stairs leading to it. But lovers of environmentalism appreciate it for its excellent, virgin purity of water.

On the same stairs, walking a little along the shore of Ordzhonikidze, you can get to a wild beach (in fact, several small areas for sunbathing and swimming), called Zavodskoy. The shore here is divided, as it were, into festoons by small capes, between which patches of sand and pebbles are hidden. Due to the difficult accessibility - you can’t get there by car, you can walk along the edge or “goat paths” through the mountains - there are not many people here, everyone can easily find solitude.

Sometimes here the water turns out to be muddy from time to time, but vacationers should not be afraid, but seize the moment - therapeutic volcanic mud is thrown into it. In addition to nudists, these places are loved. But both of these categories of vacationers are very peaceful and tolerant people, trying not to interfere with each other and getting along well in the neighborhood.

The coast around the resort village of Ordzhonikidze, which is a 20-minute drive from Feodosia, is shrouded in small coves, in which different beaches are hidden - sandy, pebbly and completely wild, rocky.

A few years ago there was a moment when the village authorities wanted to rename Ordzhonikidze to Zurbagan in order to attract tourists. But, nevertheless, its name remained the same.

Also, the difference from rest in other cities of Crimea is a calm atmosphere and an amazingly clean, almost mirror-like sea, this can be explained by the fact that there is no industrial production in Ordzhonikidze that could disrupt the ecology of this area.
