If you are looking for a taxi on your own, it is recommended to go by the meter, it should be cheaper.
In time, a taxi ride will take about half an hour; if there are traffic jams, it may take longer. The most reliable companies in Ho Chi Minh are Mai Linh and Vinasun.
Keep in mind that Vietnamese taxi drivers do not speak English well, so it is better to write down the desired address on a piece of paper.

Airport and city center are connected by bus routes №152 , №109 and №49 (last 2 launched in 2016). Buses depart every 15-20 minutes, travel time is 40-50 minutes.
- bus number 152 - runs from 06:00 to 18:00. A ticket costs 5000-7000 VND (plus the driver can ask for the same amount as a surcharge for large luggage).
- bus number 109 - runs from 05:45 to 01:30. A ticket to the center of Ho Chi Minh City costs 20,000 dong, and if the distance is less than 5 kilometers - 12,000 dong.
- bus number 49 - runs from 05:00 to 01:30. Rides from Tan Son Nhat Airport to the city center, passing most of the major hotels on Pham Gu Lao Street. The ticket costs 40,000 VND ($2).

The bus stop at the airport is located next to the bike parking, in front of the Burger King restaurant. To get there, turn slightly to the right after you exit the airport's international terminal outside. On it for only 5000 dong (8 rubles) you will reach TRAN HUNG DAO street. You need to get off at the bus stop next to Ben Thanh market. Most of the passengers usually get off at this stop. Just say with a smile that you know how much the fare costs and demand change (or give him money immediately without change).
During our trip from the airport to the center of Ho Chi Minh City, the driver just wanted to fool us, but it didn’t work out.
