Hong Kong Post. Hongkong Post and Hongkong Speedpost

HongKong Post is the oldest post office, which was founded in 1841. For some time, the Hong Kong Post branch was subordinate to Great Britain, however, since 1860 it was again transferred to the PRC. Since the late nineties of the last century, it has been operating as an independent branch of China Post.

Today it is one of the cheapest options for postal delivery of items from China.

Types of international shipments Hong Kong Post

Shipments weighing less than 10kg will be shipped via Hong Kong Post. For parcels weighing over 10 kg, a special Hongkong Speedpost service has been created.

International shipments that HongKong Post accepts for processing:

Letters, postcards, packages, secograms, not exceeding 900 mm in size in the sum of three dimensions (the largest side should not exceed 600 mm) and weighing not more than 2 kg;
- round forms of mail, the largest dimension of which does not exceed 900 mm;
- parcels not exceeding 150 cm in length and not more than 300 cm when summing up the length and girth and weighing not more than 30 kg;
- large-sized items, not more than 150 cm in length and not more than 300 cm when summing up the length and girth, and weighing not less than 10 kg, but not more than 30 kg.

There are two types of track codes issued by Hong Kong Post:

Rx123456789HK - track for shipments weighing up to 2 kg;
Cx987654321HK - a track for a shipment weighing more than 2 kg, but not exceeding 10 kg.

In track numbers, the Latin letters R and C indicate the type of shipment mentioned above. X is an individual letter of the Latin alphabet (from A to Z), it allows you to make the number unique. This is followed by a digital code that is unique for each shipment. The last Latin letters HK is the country of the sender, since we are dealing with Hong Kong Post, this is Hong Kong.

For EMS parcels, the track code looks like EE123456789HK.

There are restrictions on the filling of shipments, which can be found at the link.

Hong Kong Post Tracking

You can track the parcel of Hong Kong Post on the official website. To do this, just follow the link and select the “Mail Tracking” item on the page on the left. The track code is a thirteen-digit number, and it must be entered in the field that appears. It remains to press "Enter" and see the report on the location of the parcel. The service works both for regular shipments and for the status of EMS shipments sent by a special unit - Hongkong Speedpost. Tracking is possible until the shipment leaves the country, then you should contact the postal operators of the destination country.

Main Tracking Statuses of Hong Kong Post

To make it convenient to track packages, Hong Kong Post operates several basic reports. Let's consider them in more detail:

For some time, information about the departure will not be available, and the site will persistently offer to enter the Inquiry Reference Number. This is absolutely normal, after a certain period of time the status will change;
The Item(track code) was posted on(date of receipt of the shipment) and being processed for delivery to the address- this status indicates that the shipment was received on the date indicated in the report and will soon be processed and sent to the declared address;
Destination- (country of destination). The Item(track code) left Hong Kong for Its Destination on(date of departure) - this means that the shipment has left Hong Kong and is heading to the desired country at the declared address.

Statuses from one to another can change within a week or more. When the shipment has left the territory of China, it becomes impossible to track Hong Kong Post shipments on the official website and you need to contact the websites of local postal operators.

Postage delivery times

HongKong Post's stated delivery time is 10 to 15 days. But often departures are delayed, and the terms increase significantly - up to 50 days. As a rule, such delays occur during major holidays and other important events. This must be taken into account when placing an order and calculate the possible delivery time with a sufficiently large margin.

Hongkong Post or in other words the national post of Hong Kong as an organization was founded in 1841 and until 1860 was under the jurisdiction of the Royal Mail of Great Britain (Royal Mail). Over the years, the history of the postal service has undergone another important restructuring and after the accession of Hong Kong to the PRC has become an independent largest postal service.

At the moment, Hongkong Post is managed, but it is an independent organization with its own sorting shops and well-established logistics.

If you need to track a Hongkong SpeedPost shipment, please note that you won’t be able to track it through the same form, there is a tracker for tracking, and the track code looks like EE274154983HK.

In fact, Hongkong Post Air Mail tracking is not as informative as, for example, most often, after sending the order, you will see only one status:

  • HK, Handed over to carrier / Left for destination

Even without a strong knowledge of English, you can understand that this status indicates the export of a parcel from Hong Kong. As a rule, your package will receive this status within 1-2 weeks from the moment the goods were actually shipped, so be sure to keep this moment in mind, and in case of delays or lack of information about the movement, .

After export, the status of the track code will stop updating for a while, this happens with all parcels from China without exception, in the case of Hongkong Post Air Mail there may not be new statuses for 30 days, after which information about import to the country of destination will appear.

Unlike many other methods of delivering parcels from China, Hongkong Post Air Mail tracking after export does not end, as happens with the same one, but goes right up to the moment of delivery.

The most common parcels are usually delivered within 30-60 days, the time may be longer, it is not uncommon for people to receive their parcels after 90 days. From our practice of orders for aliexpress, we can say this, if the package has not arrived within 60 days from the date of actual dispatch, then the chances of receiving it later are almost zero, so keep an eye on it, but 2-3 days before its completion.

Registered shipments are usually delivered within 20-45 days. In this case, you should not worry, since the parcel is registered, and you can always find out about its current location, since you can check the tracking of Hongkong Post Air Mail at any time.

After your package has departed from Hong Kong and arrived at the local sorting point of the country of destination, it should be tracked on the website of the postal service of your country, for Russia this should be done on the official website of the Russian Post.

There is no need to panic as many do when they see that their track code has not been updated for 1-2 weeks, as noted earlier - it is in export and all this time the status of the track code will not be updated until the parcel is not imported into the country of destination.

If we talk about real delivery times, and not the formal ones that we are promised, then usually the delivery of a parcel via Hongkong Post Air Mail is within a period of approximately 30 days. As a rule, expensive packages arrive faster, and this applies not only to the Hong Kong postal service, but also to other carriers.

In general, the reviews about Hongkong Post Air Mail are positive, because it is not in vain that it has been used for so many years to send goods with aliexpress, while many other once popular methods have disappeared from view.

To track your package, you need to follow a few simple steps.
1. Go to the main page
2. Enter the track code in the field with the heading "Track the postal item"
3. Click on the "Track package" button located to the right of the field.
4. After a few seconds, the tracking result will be displayed.
5. Study the result, and especially carefully the last status.
6. Estimated delivery period, displayed in the track code information.

Try it, it's not hard ;)

If you do not understand the movements between postal companies, click on the link with the text "Group by companies", which is located under the tracking statuses.

If you have any difficulties with the statuses in English, click on the link with the text "Translate to Russian", which is located under the tracking statuses.

Carefully read the "Track code information" block, where you will find estimated delivery times and other useful information.

If, when tracking, a block is displayed in a red frame, with the heading "Pay Attention!", Carefully read everything that is written in it.

In these information blocks, you will find 90% of the answers to all your questions.

If in the block "Pay Attention!" it is written that the track code is not tracked in the country of destination, in this case, tracking parcels becomes impossible after the parcel is sent to the country of destination / after arriving at the Moscow Distribution Center / Item Arrived at Pulkovo / Arrived at Pulkovo / Left Luxembourg / Left Helsinki / Sending to the Russian Federation or after a long pause of 1 - 2 weeks, it is impossible to track the location of the parcel. No, and nowhere. Not at all =)
In this case, you need to wait for a notification from your post office.

To calculate delivery times in Russia (for example, after export, from Moscow to your city), use the "Delivery deadlines calculator"

If the seller promised that the parcel would arrive in two weeks, and the parcel travels for more than two weeks, this is normal, the sellers are interested in sales, and therefore they are misleading.

If less than 7 - 14 days have passed since the receipt of the track code, and the package is not tracked, or the seller claims that he sent the package, and the status of the package "the item pre-advised" / "Email notification received" does not change for several days, this is normal, You can read more by clicking on the link:.

If the status of the mail item does not change for 7 - 20 days, do not worry, this is normal for international mail.

If your previous orders arrived in 2-3 weeks, and the new package takes more than a month, this is normal, because. parcels go by different routes, in different ways, they can wait for dispatch by plane for 1 day, or maybe a week.

If the parcel left the sorting center, customs, intermediate point and there are no new statuses within 7 - 20 days, do not worry, the parcel is not a courier who carries a parcel from one city to your home. In order for a new status to appear, the parcel must arrive, unload, be scanned, etc. at the next sorting point or post office, and this takes much more time than just getting from one city to another.

If you do not understand the meaning of such statuses as Acceptance / Export / Import / Arrived at the place of delivery, etc., you can see the transcript of the main statuses of international mail:

If the parcel is not delivered to your post office 5 days before the end of the protection period, you have the right to open a dispute.

If, based on the above, you did not understand anything, read this instruction again, and again, until complete enlightenment;)
