Stankin University official. Moscow State Technological University "Stankin" (MSTU "Stankin"): reviews, address, passing scores, faculties

You can get a high-quality higher education in Moscow related to the machine-building industry at the Stankin Technological University. This educational institution is chosen by many applicants, because in 2014 it was included in the list of the best universities in the CIS. The educational organization was assigned class D in this rating. How to enter the Stankin University? What are the reviews about this educational institution?

A bit from the history of the university

The date of foundation of the currently existing one is 1930. By the corresponding order, the Presidium of the Supreme Council of National Economy of the USSR decided to create a machine-tool institute in the city. This decision was made due to the fact that the country lacked specialists who could work in the machine tool industry.

The institute existed until 1992. He made a huge contribution to the development of science and technology. In connection with significant achievements, the university was given the status of a university. In addition, there was a renaming. Since 1992, the educational organization began to be called the Moscow Technological University "Stankin" (abbreviated designation - MSTU "Stankin").

University at present

Moscow Technological University "Stankin" today is not just an educational organization working in the field of higher education. This is a production and educational and scientific complex in which various studies are carried out. Speaking about the scientific activities of the university, one cannot fail to mention the research center "New Technologies and Tools", which is part of the university. Its mission is to develop defect-free and high-performance grinding technologies using grinding wheels produced with patented technology.

It is also worth noting that the employees of MSTU Stankin periodically publish their research in Russian and foreign publications. With its developments, the university often participates in exhibitions, where it wins honorary awards and medals from the organizers.

Faculties and institutes

The Machine-Tool Institute during the years of its existence had several structural subdivisions. For example, in 1955 there were such faculties as technological, forging and pressing production, machine-tool, instrument-making and evening. The Institute gradually developed. Discoveries were made in it, new faculties appeared.

Later, at MSTU Stankin, the faculties began to be enlarged and united. Now there are 3 institutes in the university:

  • robotics and automation;
  • information technologies and systems;
  • engineering and mechanical engineering.

The tasks of each of them are to organize a high-quality educational process, to promote the innovative development of the university, to strengthen the scientific potential and to improve the material and technical base.

Areas of training

Technological University "Stankin" (MSTU "Stankin") offers a wide range of areas that are implemented by the existing enlarged structural divisions. For example, the Institute of Robotics and Automation has 6 bachelor's programs ("Robotics and Mechatronics", "Instrument Engineering", etc.) and 2 specialties. The Institute of Engineering and Mechanical Engineering has 8 undergraduate and 2 specialty courses. Here are some of them - "Engineering", "Technospheric safety", "Technology of materials and materials science".

After bachelor's degree, some students decide to continue their studies by enrolling in a master's program. At this stage of higher education, the same directions are offered as at the bachelor's degree. However, knowledge is given deeper at the master's program at Stankin University. Reviews indicate that in some areas there is a fairly wide list of profiles. Each student chooses the field of knowledge that interests him.

Entrance tests

In the areas of the humanitarian profile ("Personnel Management", "Management" and "Economics"), applicants take exams or provide USE results:

  • In Russian;
  • social science;
  • mathematics.

Upon admission to "Mechanical Engineering", "Automation of Technological Processes and Production", "Technospheric Safety", "Robotics and Mechatronics" and other similar specialties at MSTU "Stankin", the admissions committee informs that the following must be passed:

  • Russian language;
  • physics;
  • mathematics.

But in the areas of "Instrument Engineering", "Metrology and Standardization", "Informatics and Computer Engineering", applicants pass entrance tests:

  • In Russian;
  • informatics;
  • mathematics.

Minimum Points

To be able to participate in the competition upon admission, you must at least score a minimum number of points for each of the tests:

  • 40 points each - for the Russian language, computer science, physics;
  • 30 points - for mathematics;
  • 50 points - for social studies.

If an applicant scored a lower number of points in at least one of the subjects, then he can no longer be admitted to a university even under an agreement on the provision of paid services for higher education. In such cases, it is worth enrolling in another educational institution or trying your hand at entering the Stankin Technological University next year.

MSTU "Stankin": passing scores

There are budget places at the Stankin Technological University. Applicants who apply for them are interested in a passing score. This is the sum of the results for the tests of the applicant who took the last budgetary place, that is, this is the minimum among the best results.

From the above definition, we can conclude that the passing score upon admission is unknown. It is determined only after the completion of the submission of documents for budget places, the passing of all entrance examinations and the calculation of the results. Upon admission, it remains only to focus on the passing scores for the previous year:

  1. The lowest result was in the "Design and technological support of machine-building industries" direction. The passing score was 162.
  2. A high passing score was observed in the direction of "Informatics and Computer Engineering". He scored 205 points.

Training courses

Admission is an important stage in the life of any applicant. Every applicant wants to successfully overcome it. However, many have gaps in knowledge in some subjects. To fill them and in-depth study of already known material, preparatory courses are working at the University of Technology.

At MSTU "Stankin" (Moscow), training is carried out in all subjects that are defined as entrance examinations. Students in grades 10 or 11 can enroll in courses. Classes are conducted by university teachers from 1 to 3 times a week. The duration of 1 preparatory lesson is 4 academic hours.

More than 500 teachers with rich theoretical and practical knowledge work at the university. Approximately 100 of them are doctors of sciences and professors. About 340 teachers are candidates of sciences and associate professors.

Positive feedback also notes the implementation of educational programs using e-learning and distance technologies. An electronic educational environment was created on the basis of Moodle. In it, teachers place the educational and methodological materials necessary for students in electronic format.

The activity of any organization is not complete without receiving negative feedback. A technological educational institution in Moscow is no exception. Now I study at the faculty of IT. I like. The teachers are demanding, but adequate for the most part. Many work in parallel in other universities, such as Bauman or Moscow State University. There are of course shortcomings. I would like benches in the corridors, otherwise the wait for couples can be long. Wardrobe problem. In general, I would recommend the university, as knowledge is acquired, students are normal.

And here's more about my dean's office. There were problems with studying, I tried, but it didn’t work out very well, I flunked the exams and shone ...

I was educated in Stankino. I entered the paid department in 2001. I entered quite easily, since there was not a very high competition in the chosen specialty, especially for a paid one. What I want to say: it was very difficult to study. The most severe demands were made on us, the conditions of study were also not the easiest. It happened that we studied from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm, and sometimes the practice was on the other side of Moscow (Karacharovo) plus seminars on the same day. The first time I went...
