Tankers of the RST27 project are self-propelled vessels of the Volgo-Don max class. Tankers are designed for mixed (river-sea) bulk transportation of crude oil and oil products and simultaneous transportation of two types of cargo. The classification project RST27 was developed by the Marine Engineering Bureau (Odessa) for the KM Ice1 R2 AUT1-ICS OMBO VCS ECO-S Oil tanker (ESP) class. When designing tankers, the special requirements of Russian and global oil companies, additional environmental restrictions of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping class "ECO PROJECT" (ECO-S) were taken into account, this provides significant advantages in the oil products transportation market.
As the main engines, two medium-speed diesel engines with a capacity of 1200 kW each, operating on heavy fuel with a viscosity of IFO380, are used. Thruster - 230 kW.
The power plant consists of three diesel generators of 292 kW each and an emergency stop diesel generator of 136 kW.
Autonomy (in the sea / in the river) - 20 / 12 days.

VF TANKER-17 is a steel single-deck motor ship equipped with two rotary propeller-steering columns, with a forecastle and poop, with aft location of the wheelhouse and engine room, with a double bottom, double sides and a trunk in the area of cargo tanks.
