But lately, as the club culture develops, its panorama looks very diverse.
Mecca for the youngest nightlife is a conglomeration of Haidhausen discos Kultfabrik and optimolwerke, successors of the legendary art park "Ost" (Kunstpark Ost). In the Gärtnerplatz area - between the Isar, Viktualienmarkt and the Sendlinger Tor gate - a huge number of drinking establishments are concentrated. There are just as many bars and pubs in the Haidhausen and Schwabing quarters, and in Haidhausen they are decorated with deliberate negligence, and in Schwabing, on the contrary, with great chic.
There are real student pubs around the university, such as Atzinger(recently renovated) and legendary Alte Simple, a former local bohemian beer garden that has been in existence for over 100 years. But there are also elegant bars in the university district, such as Brik and news bar.
For a long time, lovers of a cheerful life bypassed the city center, but now the situation has clearly improved. Maximilian Square (Maximiliansplatz) always was good place for idle night owls, but now more and more pretty pubs and bars can be found on the side streets of the pedestrian zone.
There is no lack of public and Schlachthof quarter (Schlachthof) where new cafes, bars and restaurants are constantly opening.
Music bars
That kind of music bars, where live jazz and / or soul is played on small stages, on the contrary, is fighting for survival. But some institutions have earned themselves a good reputation and won a permanent circle of fans. Night on the road
There used to be a lot of grumbling in Munich about the strict 1am restaurant closing times and the way public transport worked at night. Now something has been done in this regard: now it is walking " night bus”, many bars and restaurants are open until 3 pm, and large halls are open even longer.
If anyone wants to get home by public transport between 1 and 5 o'clock in the morning, then this can also be foreseen if you figure out your route in advance. At the end of the week, most subway lines run until 2 a.m., the Lumpensammler (lit.
