Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide and ZAO SK Vnukovo will open a new Four Points by Sheraton Moscow Vnukovo Airport hotel in the Russian capital.
The hotel, scheduled to open in 2016, will be located just 500 meters from the new terminal international airport Vnukovo, the closest airport to the city center and the third largest airport in Russia. The deal is part of Starwood's strategic development plan to open seven new hotels under the Sheraton, Four Points by Sheraton and Aloft brands in Russia over the next three years.
Hotel Four Points by Sheraton Moscow Vnukovo Airport will feature 250 comfortable and stylish rooms, including 30 suites, a 24-hour restaurant, two bars and a fitness center.
The hotel will also include a Spa, an indoor pool and a business center with space for special celebrations and meetings. New hotel will feature all the unique features of the Four Points by Sheraton brand, including the signature Four Comfort Bed and free high-speed internet access in all public areas.
With more than 170 properties worldwide, Four Points by Sheraton ranks third in the Starwood portfolio for the number of hotels in operation and second for the number of hotels under construction.
The newly built Moskva Hotel will welcome its first guests next year.
The third start-up complex of the reconstructed Moskva Hotel in the center of the capital is being prepared for commissioning. "The commissioning of the third start-up complex actually means the completion of the reconstruction of the entire Moskva Hotel," said Valentin Pakhomov, acting chairman of the Moscow State Construction Supervision Authority, whose words are quoted in the message.
In accordance with the project, it is planned to recreate the building of a 5 * class hotel with a 4-level underground part in its original dimensions. The facility is divided into zones: a hotel with apartments, an apart-hotel, a congress center with an administrative part, shopping and public areas, underground parking for 717 cars.
The hotel building is put into operation by three start-up complexes. In December 2011, the first launch complex was put into operation. It included an underground parking garage, a shopping area, an office part (congress center), apartments and landscaping from Okhotny Ryad, Revolution Square and Theater Square.
The second start-up complex was commissioned in May 2012 (residence from the 4th to the 10th floor, VIP residence from the 11th to the 15th floor, landscaping from Manezhnaya Square).
The third start-up complex includes the actual hotel with 180 rooms.
Estimated date of putting the facility into operation is October 2013. After that, the premises will be handed over to the hotel operator to equip the rooms with furniture, as well as small inventory, accessories and art objects.
The reception of the first visitors is scheduled for the second quarter of 2014.
