Winning booking check. Pobeda Airlines will take money for check-in for flights from foreign airports

Pobeda Avia is the first Russian low-cost airline, which is a subsidiary of Aeroflot. Probably due to the “family” ties between the Pobeda airline and Aeroflot, the former can be very competitive, both in terms of ticket prices and in terms of flights.

In this post I will tell you everything I know about Russian airline low-cost airline, about the rules and regulations for baggage and hand luggage, airfare prices, how to search and buy tickets for Pobeda with promotions.

What is Pobeda Airlines

The official website of Pobeda Airlines: www.pobeda.aero, on the official website you can search for tickets, but it is more profitable and convenient

You will probably be interested in learning a little more about what Pobeda airline is, where it came from, what planes it has and why tickets can cost 999 rubles or less.

The Pobeda airline began its existence at the moment when the Dobrolet airline stopped its work. Dobrolet flew to Crimea and received sanctions from the European Union. Pobeda is afraid to fly to Crimea, but she is not afraid to fly abroad, she does it regularly and at good prices.

Pobeda made its first flight on December 1, 2014 to the city of Volgograd. The start of ticket sales was very noisy and remembered by many. The low-cost airline sold tickets for 100 rubles, many bought these tickets as souvenirs and did not fly anywhere on them. During the first hours of sales since the beginning of its official existence, the airline has sold more than 10,000 tickets.

Pobeda Airlines is a subsidiary of Aeroflot, but the companies are not competitors. The Victory Airpark is fresh aircraft of the American Boeing, basically it is 737 series in 800 configuration. (Boeing 737-800).

All planes (or almost all) of Pobeda and Aeroflot airlines are registered in Bermuda (this can be seen on the tail number of the aircraft), and not in Russia. The main base of the airline is located at Vnukovo Airport (Moscow).

Pobeda flights, prices and popular flights

At the beginning of summer 2017, Pobeda Airlines operates flights to the following cities: Alania, Almaty, Anapa, Astrakhan, Barcelona (Girona), Barcelona (Reus), Bratislava, Vienna (Central Station), Vladikavkaz, Volgograd, Gelendzhik, Gyumri, Yekaterinburg , Yerevan (Central Stadium), Kazan, Cologne/Bonn, Krasnoyarsk, Larnaca, Makhachkala, Milan (Bergamo), Milan (Central Station), Moscow (Vnukovo), Munich (Memmingen), Munich (Central Station), Embankments Chelny, Nazran (Magas), Nalchik, Novosibirsk, Perm, Pisa, Rostov-on-Don, Samara, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Surgut, Tbilisi, Tivat, Tyumen, Florence (central station), Zurich (central station) , Cheboksary, Chelyabinsk.

The price of tickets of this low-cost airline is much lower than that of all Russian air carriers. Do not forget that Pobeda is a low-cost carrier, or, as they call themselves, a “low-cost carrier”. Because of this, many tourists have problems during flights. Many passengers leave angry reviews and swear a lot, but is this the fault of the airline? Read more about this.

The Russian low-cost airline is a victory, even trying to compete with European airlines, in some directions, Victory even succeeds.

Sometimes the airline holds promotions and discounts, the price of tickets on the official website can be 999 rubles or less. I was not able to buy a ticket for a promo fare of 999 rubles, but among my friends there are lucky ones who flew at such fares. You should not count on such a freebie from Pobeda, since tickets at such a price are sold out instantly.

Where can I buy tickets for Victory

There are several ways to search and buy tickets for this Russian low-cost airline. The simplest and most costly one is to contact the airline's pay line (Attention! A minute of conversation with a call center operator costs from 50 rubles).

more gentle and convenient way buying tickets is to visit the official website of the company. The site is convenient and comfortable to use, but it does not give any hints about more profitable flight dates.

Absolutely free of charge, you can check in luggage up to 10 kilograms per person, everything above this allowed norm is paid at completely non-budgetary rates. It seems that such conditions for a low-cost company are generosity (as much as 10 kg for free), but everything is much more interesting. If you are flying with your family and you have three pieces of luggage (5 kg, 15 kg and 7 kg), then you will be charged for overweight (where 15 kg).

This is due to the rule: “One passenger - one piece of baggage”, you will either have to pay extra for overweight (where 15 kilograms) or shift things evenly. Most of the passengers are busy with this (luggage shifting) during check-in for the Pobeda flight.

If the excess baggage is more than 10 kg, but less than 20 kg. you will have to pay 1499 rubles if payment is made through the website or call center and 3000 rubles if you pay at the check-in counter. The cost of each kilogram in excess of the 20-kilogram limit is 500 rubles.

Catch a life hack to save on luggage: if you have a small excess (up to 1 kilogram), then look for check-in counters whose scales lie down. It is easy to determine such a scale bug, the scoreboard should have numbers with a minus - this is the scale error. I regularly use this “loophole”, but I am always ready to throw out (or shove in my pockets) extra weight from my luggage.

Airline Pobeda hand luggage free and paid

If everything is clear with luggage, then what Victory came up with with hand luggage is simply a masterpiece, but first things first.

Free hand luggage of a passenger, only the one that corresponds to the federal list (camera, laptop, phone, etc.), see the link. Any other hand luggage (backpack, vodka/cosmetics bag from duty free etc.) carried in the cabin is paid extra.

The cost of a piece of hand luggage in the cabin of Pobeda Airlines is 999 rubles when paying through the website or a call center and up to 2000 rubles when paying at the check-in counter. Not all hand luggage you can pay through the website or by calling the call center, goods from Duty Free as an example.

Sometimes it comes to the ridiculous, you can take on board a huge laptop, weighing 5 kilograms, but you have no right to put this laptop in a plastic bag, which weighs 5 grams. You checked in with a laptop in your hands, then put it in a stashed plastic bag, then already at the boarding, you will either be asked to get rid of the bag or pay for hand luggage.

All the purchases that tourists like to make in Duty Free are not welcome on board. You will need to pay for the Duty Free package as hand luggage. I saw how passengers carried bottles from Duty Free without packaging on board the plane, how legal it is (alcohol must be packed in special bags until the end of the flight) and I don’t know how much it costs.

Choosing a seat in the cabin Pobeda

Regularly on television there are stories about scandals on board Pobeda airlines, the reason for most of which is the sharing of seats in the cabin. If you follow all the rules, “do not bully” and do not be greedy, then you can fly very comfortably. A little further, I will show how for only 999 rubles you can fly to the best places.

The choice of seats in the cabin is a paid service, like all airline services. You should know that you yourself are responsible for the quality of your flight and you should not blame others, flight attendants or the airline.

At the time of booking tickets, the site offers to use additional services and services to improve your flight. Among which there are "Choosing a seat", "Baggage in the cabin" (hand luggage), "Extra baggage" (baggage in excess of the free allowance of 10 kg.), "Flight insurance", " Health insurance”, “Hotels in the city of arrival”, “Excursions in the city of arrival”, etc. From all these additional services you can refuse, because after buying a ticket they can be bought in addition.

The site indicates that you have not chosen a seat, or have not paid for luggage / hand luggage, and it does this very persistently, it is difficult not to notice pop-up windows.

After paying for the ticket, you will receive several letters from Pobeda Airlines to your mail. As a rule, these are “Payment Receipt” (ticket booking), “Electronic Ticket” and information on your flight. It is in the information letter that you are once again informed about the opportunity to buy (or choose) a seat in the cabin, pay for luggage, etc.

The day before your departure, you again receive a letter from Pobeda in the mail, which recommends using online check-in for the flight. And in this letter, again it is said about the opportunity to pay / purchase the necessary services.

On the day of your departure, two letters from Pobeda again come to your mail. In the first one - a reminder of the departure, recommendations and, again, advice to choose a seat, in the second - your electronic ticket (this is very convenient).

It is not necessary to print an e-ticket, I was told this during an email correspondence with an airline representative (it's completely free).

My question is to the Pobeda airline support service.

Good afternoon!

Tell me if you need to print an e-ticket or you can save it on your phone and present it at in electronic format at the front desk. And do I need to present it at all at check-in at the airport?

Airline response.

Thank you for your contact.

A passenger can come to check-in only with a document on which he will fly. If required, the passenger can present the ticket electronically.

  1. Check the weight and dimensions of your baggage for compliance with the Baggage Rules;
  2. If necessary, pay in advance for the carriage of baggage and hand luggage;
  3. If you have a special diet or if you are traveling with a small child, take care of your meals in advance. On board the Pobeda you will only be provided with water;
  4. We recommend arriving at the airport no later than 90 minutes before the flight departure;
  5. Don't forget to bring the identification documents you specified when booking;
  6. For international flights, check the availability of documents required to cross the border;
  7. At the airport, go to the check-in desk for passengers and baggage for your flight;
  8. You can not print the itinerary receipt, but simply provide the booking code during check-in;
  9. For an additional fee, you can choose a more comfortable seat in the cabin;
  10. If you have luggage, then hand it over at the passenger and luggage check-in desk;
  11. If you paid for baggage in the cabin, you will receive a baggage tag at the check-in desk;
  12. After registering go passport control and security control;
  13. Before going through security control, check if you have any items prohibited for transportation in the cabin of the aircraft with you or in your hand luggage;
  14. Wait for boarding near the boarding gate;
  15. Check the status of the flight and the boarding gate number on the information boards;
  16. Don't put your boarding pass away. At the entrance to the aircraft, flight attendants will ask you to present it;
  17. If you have any questions, please contact the airport staff or Pobeda employees.

And after all this flurry of e-mails, I don't understand how people can "download rights" at the airport. You yourself read everything (at the time of buying the ticket), agreed with everything, paid for the ticket with a bank card with your own hands, etc. And at the airport and in the cabin, due to savings of 999 rubles, a show of unprecedented greed begins. It's hard for me to understand this.

Airline Pobeda check-in

All tourists have long been accustomed to online check-in for a flight, it is fast, convenient and already familiar, because the 21st century is in the yard. But Pobeda Airlines has problems with this procedure. About the features of online registration on the only Russian low-cost airline and about other difficulties, read on.

Check-in at the counter at the airport

Check-in counters start working 2 hours before departure (at Vnukovo Airport - 3 hours), check-in ends 40 minutes before departure.

It is advisable to come to the registration desks already prepared, i. 10 kilograms of luggage, a laptop in the hands, a camera around the neck, sandwiches in the pockets, etc.

Online check-in for the Pobeda flight (conditionally paid)

Any low-cost airline tries to minimize the communication between the passenger and the staff. Low-cost companies are trying by all available means to direct the passenger to the Internet and force him to check in for the flight on his own. But Pobeda has a different approach to saving the working time of its employees.

Here is the online registration procedure (information from the victory site):

Online check-in opens on the official Pobeda website 24 hours and ends 40 minutes before departure.

To check in for a flight online mode, you need to check in at pobeda.aero, print your boarding pass and take it with you to the airport (why do you need to print your boarding pass?). If you are traveling with luggage, please contact the baggage claim desk at the airport, but no later than 40 minutes before departure.

Here are a few things that are incomprehensible to me when checking in online for Pobeda flights:

Online check-in for Pobeda flights is available only for passengers departing from Moscow. For what reason is it impossible to pass online registration in other cities?

Online check-in for Pobeda flights is a paid service. In order to register online, you must purchase an additional service, i.e. pay extra for choosing a seat in the cabin or you will not succeed.

It turns out the imposition of a service. But how can you check in for a flight without specifying a seat in the cabin, Pobeda employees will object to me. Yes, it's very simple - to assign for such passengers (who do not want to buy seats in the cabin) seats randomly (randomly) from the cheapest. In this case, everyone wins, the passenger received a boarding pass and will not stand in line, the airline will save time and nerves of its employees.

Pobeda Airlines, my review

Many tourists and travelers try to compare the Russian low-cost airline with Western counterparts, this is an incorrect comparison and it is impossible to compare them for a number of reasons that are beyond the scope of this article. In this part of the post, I will talk about the experience of using the Russian low-cost airline and try to make my review more objective. Go!

Buying a plane ticket

To buy a ticket to Montenegro, I used a proven site, which once again did not disappoint. Tickets Moscow - Tivat - Moscow cost me about 7,000 rubles, but you could buy even cheaper. For all the details on finding promotional Victory tickets, read the link.

It is worth noting that Pobeda's website is made with high quality, it is convenient to use, it is worthy of praise. After buying a ticket, notification letters began to arrive in the mail, which were partly an advertisement for their additional services. If we count all the letters, then no more than 10 of them came, which is within the bounds of decency.

Some of the emails were very helpful, like flight reminders or take electronic ticket on the day of departure. Each letter contains links to seat selection, baggage payment, etc. Here at the Victory everything is at the highest level. So if I needed another piece of baggage, I knew exactly where to pay for it.

Departure from Vnukovo airport

I love airports, planes and all that travel stuff, so I always arrive at the airport early, this time was no exception. I wandered around the half-empty building of the air station, took pictures of the planes and go to registration.

There were no difficulties with registration, and cannot be. If you can read Russian, do not be greedy for money to pay for additional services and follow the simple rules of the low-cost airline, then check-in and flight will be comfortable.

At some airports, Pobeda has a feature of boarding a plane, you do not go into the plane along the sleeve, but get into it from the runway. A bus takes you from the airport building to the plane, so you should not rush too much until the boarding is over, the buses will stand at the terminal building.

Redneck employees of Vnukovo airport

The bus brought everyone to the plane standing on the platform and a queue formed at the gangways. In order to take time, I turned on the camera and began to take pictures of planes, queues, Vnukovo airport, etc. Very quickly, a man in a gray padded jacket became interested in me, the padded jacket was clearly a couple of sizes larger than the man.

The conversation with the security guard (a man in a padded jacket) was as follows:

Man: Quickly put away the camera (referring to you).
Me: Can't shoot here?
Man: You can't.
Me: But there are no prohibition signs and nowhere is it indicated.
Man: Now you will stay here, you will not fly anywhere and you will stay here for a long time. I quickly removed the camera.

The watchman syndrome works, the man in his heart celebrates the victory, I put the camera away and feel like shit, the goal has been achieved. I'm trying to remember at what other airport in the world I would have been so clearly pointed out to my place. I don’t remember anything, although I took pictures in many places.

Upon arrival in Montenegro, I sent an email to the Vnukovo airport, asking about my eligibility to shoot. There was no answer, but really who am I to answer me. There was a different opinion about the work of this airport.

On board the Pobeda airline

The planes at Pobeda are relatively new, inside is clean and familiar. Much differs from a standard flight, they don’t provide food on flights (only water is offered during the flight), there is no division into service classes on low-cost flights (all economy class seats, but you can choose more comfortable ones for an additional fee).

Flight attendants, of course, have a hard time, here are a few common questions for passengers:

  • when will we be fed?;
  • where is your business class?;
  • quickly transfer me to my child / husband / wife / mother / father / porthole, otherwise you will have problems / I will never fly with your company / I will damage / I will complain;
  • why I have to endure it (the list of what I should endure is very long);
  • why I have to walk along the runway, why the plane does not park at the airport.

To sum up the suitability or unsuitability of the Pobeda low-cost airline for travel, then I will tend to use this airline for flights over short distances, I liked the work of the airline. But if I have a choice (for a long flight) and at a similar price for tickets, I will choose another airline.

Service and amenities on board the aircraft Victory, myth or reality

The distance between the seats and the replacement of seats in the cabin of Pobeda Airlines

This is the most acute problem for the passenger, especially if the passenger is tall. Indeed, the distance between the seats is not so much, but there is a great opportunity to choose a seat. The price of the service is 999 rubles and a cart with aviation food can pass between the seats (just kidding).

In the photo, it’s a place for 999 rubles, as you can see, there is enough legroom, I would even say more than. Do not be greedy, if you really need additional space, then pay extra and you are guaranteed to have it.

In the cabin, everyone is seated separately from each other.

The second most important question that interests every family passenger is where my family will sit. The cost of choosing a seat in the cabin - from 149 rubles. Is it a lot or a little for your calmness and confidence that your relatives will sit next to you?

On board the Victory is not fed

Nothing but water and a smile, the flight attendants can not offer you. It is also not possible to buy food on board, as this is an extra cost for the airline.

There are a few things here that I don't understand. Most Pobeda flights last no more than two or three hours, it is impossible to get hungry during such a time (maybe I'm wrong). What prevents a passenger from eating at the airport, it is not necessary to do it in an expensive airport restaurant, because you can take a few sandwiches from home with you.

Well, for those passengers who are not able to endure several hours without eating (there are rare diseases in nature that require a constant meal), you can carry a bag with hand luggage (up to 10 kg.) on board the aircraft. This service costs from 999 rubles. Nobody forbids putting a few sandwiches in your hand luggage, especially if you have such a rare disease. If you don’t have 999 rubles to pay for hand luggage (everything happens in life), then put a Snickers bar in your pocket, no one will turn your pockets inside out (at least I haven’t seen this).

The planes of the airline victory do not recline seats

The seats do not really recline, on those planes in which I was, everything is exactly as they say on the Internet. My flights were day flights, so there was no particular need for a seat transformation. And the plane during the flight from Tivat to Moscow was half empty, so you could sleep like on a couch.

I heard on the Internet that in all aircraft of the Pobeda airline, seat pockets are sewn up. This is argued by the fact that much less time is spent on cleaning the cabin and, as a result, the efficiency of using the aircraft increases. In those planes that I came across, there were no sewn pockets, but I do not exclude that this is quite possible.

Do you have additions or comments to my post, tell us about it in the comments.

Have a good flight and soft landings.

There are a lot of negative reviews about the Pobeda airline on the network due to the rules of transportation, which change periodically. We often fly with a domestic low-cost airline in Russia and abroad, buying cheap flights. What are the pros and cons of Pobeda, how to avoid problems at the airport, about check-in and boarding, what planes fly?

When I bought Pobeda airline tickets, I already knew. Most dissatisfied passengers do not read the information and then face problems at the airport. Flying with a low-cost airline is always a compromise between comfort and price. If the priority for you is the price of a ticket, then Pobeda Airlines is your option, and if you need a full range of services, it is better to buy a ticket from a “regular” airline at a standard fare. Compare prices for your desired destination through a search engine to understand the difference.

Online registration

Online check-in for flights of Pobeda Airlines is currently possible only with departure from Moscow and St. Petersburg. It is not necessary to pass it (there will be no extra money for this). Online check-in is available only for those who have chosen and paid for a seat in the cabin, the rest are registered at the counters at the airport.

Online check-in for passengers departing from Moscow opens 24 hours and ends 40 minutes before departure. For passengers departing from St. Petersburg, online check-in opens 24 hours and ends 2 hours before departure.

From October 28, 2018, online check-in was introduced for Pobeda flights departing from foreign airports. Online registration opens 24 hours in advance.

To go through online registration, you need to go to the Pobeda website in the "Online Registration" section and enter your booking code (6 characters), email address or ticket number (13 digits). The boarding pass can be presented electronically from a mobile device, but it is better to print it out and take it with you to the airport.

Check-in at the airport

Check-in for Pobeda flights at Vnukovo Airport opens 3 hours and ends 40 minutes before departure at counters 128-134, Terminal A. Other airports may have their own requirements for the start and end of check-in, the check-in end time is indicated on the itinerary receipt. To check in, the passenger must present the document for which the ticket was issued (Russian or foreign passport) and check in the baggage.

From October 28, 2018, a fee for check-in services at foreign airports was introduced in the amount of €25 (free online). At Russian airports, check-in is included in the ticket price.

Baggage and hand luggage

From 09/30/2017, checked baggage is not included in the standard tickets of Pobeda Airlines. This is a minus (earlier it was possible to take 10 kg per person). If you bought tickets at a fare with luggage or paid extra for this service, check its weight and dimensions in advance. Payment for overweight - 500 rubles / kg (€ 10 / kg at a foreign airport). If you buy Pobeda tickets for your parents, explain to them the rules for carrying luggage or immediately pay extra for a suitcase weighing 10 or 20 kg (499/1499 rubles). The cost of services at the airport is much higher than buying them online.

Free hand luggage of Victory must fit freely in a calibrator (box with a lid) measuring 36x30x27 cm. This is very small compared to the requirements of other airlines. Few people can fly with so many things. Additional seats in the cabin cannot be purchased.

Restrictions on the type and weight of hand luggage have been canceled, now Pobeda allows you to carry backpacks, beach bags, etc., the main thing is that they fit in the calibrator. Hand luggage measuring frames with the airline's logo are installed at the airport. Requirements are strictly observed and checked several times. Pobeda has a cashier at the airport. Every time we meet passengers who exceed the paid baggage allowance and pay on the spot at higher rates.

Carried free of charge in hand luggage: a laptop without a case? crutches, folding wheelchair for passengers with handicapped, baby cradle when transporting a child. A Duty Free package and a suitcase with a suit are also counted in the total amount of free hand luggage, and if they are exceeded, they are paid as luggage at an increased rate of 2000 rubles.

  1. You can take as many items of any weight on board for free, if in total they pass through a frame with dimensions of 36x30x27 cm.
  2. One piece of hand luggage weighing no more than 10 kg and measuring 36x30x4 cm, as well as the following list of things: a handbag or briefcase or backpack measuring 36x30x23 cm; bouquet of flowers; outerwear; medicines and food for the child in flight; one suit in a bag; baby cradle when transporting a child; used crutches, cane, walkers, rollators, folding wheelchair; goods from duty-free shops with dimensions not exceeding 10x10x5 cm.

Aircraft of Pobeda Airlines

The fleet of Pobeda Airlines consists of modern Boeing 737-800s. Aircraft are produced specifically by order of the airline. Sky Interior salons are equipped with leather armchairs and can change lighting modes. The layout of the cabin is shown at the booking stage for the selection of seats. The chairs do not recline, which is a plus for some, but a minus for some. There is enough legroom, you can pay for more space (XL seats).

boarding the plane. If you have not paid for the seat selection service, then you will sit in different parts of the aircraft (except for passengers with children). Automatic free assignment of seats in different parts of the aircraft is an obvious disadvantage of Pobeda Airlines. It is clear that this is done so that passengers pay for the seat selection service, but other airlines put people from the same reservation together, albeit in bad seats. It is forbidden to transfer on board; flight attendants monitor this. Sometimes it is still possible to change seats, if you do not attract attention - do not rush to take your seats, wait until everyone is seated. All our flights were sent and arrived on schedule. Passengers are asked not to linger at the exit and they quickly give out luggage - saving time on service at the airport.

Nutrition. During the flight, Pobeda does not feed and, unlike other low-cost airlines, does not sell anything. At the request of the passenger, drinking water is provided (hot if you have your own thermo mug). You can take food with you, the main thing is that it, along with other items, fits in the hand luggage calibrator and complies with the rules of transportation.

Carefully read the rules of transportation of Pobeda Airlines, pay in advance for the required amount of baggage, the choice of seats, measure your hand luggage and then there will be more pluses from flying with a low-cost airline than minuses.

Low-cost airline Pobeda is a young national project of Russia and symbolizes the successful overcoming of difficulties. Pobeda continued the work of Dobrolet and already in the first months of its existence, it was among the ten largest Russian air carriers.

You can choose several registration methods: the most common one is check-in at the counter of your airline. The second option is use the self-service counter at the airport.

For convenience, use online registration. Many airlines have this service, for example, Rossiya, UTair, Wizz Air And Turkish airlines. You will find information about the procedure and the passage form on the official website of the company or on the links below.

Important! The Vnukovo Airport Administration recommends that you check in online, if possible. This saves time and reduces the chance of being late.

Online scoreboard

Online check-in

Go to your airline's website, find your ticket and print it out. If you don't have a printer, Vnukovo staff will print your ticket at the check-in counter.

Remember! Online check-in frees you from standing in lines, but it does not guarantee that you will quickly pass all the stages necessary for boarding. You still need to arrive early.

In any case, you must check in your luggage.

Online registration has a number of advantages: you can go through it at home, at work, in public transport– if only there was a device with the Internet. You can choose your seat on the plane. You print the ticket yourself, it is not necessary to do it at the airport.

Online check-in starts 24 hours before departure and ends 45 minutes.

Please note that in some cases it will not be possible to register via the Internet:

  • if you need to accompany children;
  • if you are carrying luggage passenger seat or pets;
  • as well as in the case of the transport of weapons.

Below you will find information about the rack numbers of companies, if they are fixed, and links to websites for online registration.

What to do: from check-in to departure

  1. Registration.

At this stage, you check in your luggage and receive a boarding pass. During check-in, ask for your home address on your luggage and mark your luggage as fragile. This way you will avoid loss of cargo and reduce the likelihood of damage.

  1. Inspection.

During searches, the security service checks passengers for dangerous things: explosives, knives, and so on.

  1. Passport control.
