We rented a car, free parking, convenient. The beach is beautiful with multi-colored sand: yellow, black turning into burgundy. We rested in December for 8 nights - the ocean was raging, only 1 day we managed to swim enough in our ocean, taking into account the car we visited many beaches of the island where you could swim and jump on the waves, I really liked Bentota beach with light sand and turquoise ocean. We visited the zoo, we also liked it. Impressions from the hotel and Sri Lanka are only positive!

The hotel does not have enough umbrellas from the sun, had to borrow early in the morning. On our first day at the hotel, we went to the beach after 9-00, there were no more free umbrellas, and as a result, we overheated and had to leave the beach in an hour, and in addition, we noticed that the hotel workers who they serve the pool, they arranged a business from occupying sun loungers and umbrellas, for a fee they occupy them for tourists. Breakfast at the hotel ends very early at 9-30 - you need to extend at least until 10-30. And the most unusual thing is that in the last 24 hours we were persuaded to move to the neighboring Tangerine hotel, for some reason the hotel needed our room. Based on the results of the holiday, I cannot recommend the hotel to my friends and relatives, although it is considered that this is a good hotel for Sri Lanka.

Hotel with a very good location in relation to the airport. This is our second time in Palm Beach. But we choose this hotel only because in Kalutara we had a friend from the last trip - an excellent guide and very good man Hasi!!! Near the hotel he has a cafe Matryoshka. In general, Palm Beach Hotel liked its ethnic flavor - figures of elephants, antique furniture, incense. The hotel area is very green. Every day you can see very beautiful Sri Lankan wedding photo shoots - this is something ...!!! The hotel is not new, but very atmospheric. We arrived at 6 am, settled immediately and gave the opportunity to swim and stay at the hotel until 18.00. on the day of departure is convenient. The rooms are large, the beds are comfortable, the view from absolutely all rooms to the pool and the ocean. Due to the humidity, it is better to choose a room on the 2nd and 3rd floors. The ocean is not for swimming, but it is grand!!! Rested in mid-June, an active rainy season. Hotel prices during this period are halved, showers are short-term, but strong both in the evening and at night. True, humidity ... but the skin from moisture is just super. We swam only in the pool - it's huge, like a river, clean and runs throughout the territory, it's scary in the ocean, it's addictive ... In general, this hotel is certainly not 5, but a solid 4. But for the atmosphere and national flavor - a confident 5!

We rested in this hotel 4 times from April 19 to April 29, 2019. For 10 days everything was fine. However, the whole impression was destroyed in one fell swoop. We contacted the hotel 3 days before departure with a question about how we can order a transfer. We were told that a day before departure, you can contact the reception and we will be provided with a service. Exactly one day before departure, we asked where and what we needed, we were issued an invoice for a transfer in the amount of $ 70. When asked if we can pay the transfer later, we were answered positively. Leaving the hotel that day, local guys offered us a transfer to the airport for $ 40. What was our surprise when we went down to the reception at 8 pm to pay the bill for the transfer, we solemnly announced with a smile that the car had broken down, but we well done here, they found you a car "from behind the fence." When asked what the price is, we were answered with a straight face - $ 70, you need to pay only in cash and only to the driver. Why should I pay the person who offered me his services for $ 40 in the morning, pay $ 70? Asking why $70 and not $40 as the man himself suggests, they couldn't. The employee showed with all his appearance and words - the car broke down, these are your problems, not the problems of the hotel, do what you want. He didn't care at all that we were regular guests, that we chose their hotel without looking at all those fuckups that we encountered there not for the first time. The most annoying thing is that there was a car on the territory of the hotel, and two more, on the territory of Tangerine, which is also part of this network, but they were not going to provide it. Thanks to the guys from the KingFish cafe, Lahiru and his mother, who at 9 pm were able to find us a transfer for the next morning with a departure from the hotel at 5 am, the cost of which was $ 50, within 10 minutes. It's very nice when you know people for 7 years and they are happy to see you, feed you delicious food, sew any thing you want, and are always ready to help in any situation you don't understand.
