Therefore, do not be surprised when you see the VFS Global company logo on the center’s website. However, according to rumors, instead of VFS Global, the tender for Spanish diplomatic services around the world, including Russia, was won by BLS International Services Ltd. This is why the visa center in Yekaterinburg is closing. In Moscow, everything remains unchanged for now.

We go to the Spain visa center

We leave the Oktyabrskaya metro station, find ourselves on Kaluga Square, a little to the right of the monument - on the ground floor, there is a children's library (under an advertisement for Raiffeisen Bank). We are heading straight between the monument and the library; the visa center building we need is located immediately behind the children's library.

This is the visa center building, the center itself is located on the second floor of this shopping center

It is important to know

If you do not receive a verification code for online registration by email, try either changing your email address to another one or signing up to submit documents.

The Spanish Consulate is loyal to Russian citizens. In 95% of cases, you will be approved for a multiple-entry visa for 6 months, even on your first application (this does not apply to urgent visa requests). In this way, the Spanish government is trying to increase the country's attractiveness for tourists. Most applicants do not know about such “generosity” of the Spanish Consulate, which selfish agencies can take advantage of, promising each of their clients a multiple-entry visa, and even for six months at once. Even if you decide to contact an agency, know that an approved multiple-entry visa is absolutely not their merit.

Of course, there are exceptions when the Spaniards issue visas for a shorter period or, instead of a Schengen visa, they issue a national Spanish visa (not a Schengen visa), which will not allow you to get anywhere other than Spain. However, most often this happens to applicants who have previously been noted for incorrect use of visas, “bad behavior” or violation of the law or visa regime in the territory, having a corresponding mark about themselves in the database. Such cases are really few, however, they cannot be completely excluded. Please read the visa application carefully.

The work of the Spanish Embassy in the Russian Federation is not directly related to tourists and other travelers; It delegated the functions of issuing entry visas to the Consulate General. These organizations serve residents of the Central, Volga, Siberian, Ural, Far Eastern, North Caucasus and Southern federal districts. Documents are accepted no earlier than 3 months before the start of the trip, but there is also no point in delaying their submission, especially during peak seasons such as the New Year's Eve.

Visa to countries

A visa is a document permitting entry into the country.

There are visa-free, visa-free and conditionally visa-free countries. a list of countries by which you can check which type of visa regime, which country belongs to.

Do you need a visa to Spain?

Yes. Spain is a country included in the Schengen area. To travel to Spain you need a visa.

Is it difficult to get a visa to Spain?

About 8 years ago it was difficult to obtain a visa to Spain. Spain was known as the most capricious Schengen country. Lots of refusals, strict selection.

Now the conditions for obtaining a visa have become easier. Moreover, on travel forums and in communities we constantly come across joyful messages from independent tourists that they have been issued an annual visa. You can read about how to get a Schengen multiple visa.

Where is the joy? The fact is that they applied for a regular short-term visa for a trip to Spain, and at the Spanish visa center they thought about something, looked at the tourist’s travel history and decided to issue a visa to Spain for a year.

These are the pleasant surprises you can get from the Spanish visa center.

How to apply for a tourist visa to Spain yourself

Applying for a visa to Spain on your own is no more difficult than applying through a travel agency. But much cheaper. We have talked about this more than once, and we will talk about it again.

To obtain a visa to Spain, you need to collect a package of documents and submit them to the Spanish visa center or the Spanish Consulate.

What is the difference?

At the consulate:

  1. Submitting documents for a visa by appointment. Those. you need to call the consulate or go to their website and find out what date you can sign up for
  2. You only pay for the visa (visa fee for Russian citizens is 35 euros).
  3. Visas are issued only for the requested dates

At the visa center:

  1. Information updated as of June 2017- You can apply for a visa only by appointment.
  2. There is also a fee for a visa; the visa category is tourist. Information from the official website: visa fee 2260 rubles, and service fee 998 rubles. Only cash accepted. The cost of a visa may vary depending on the euro exchange rate.
  3. They can issue a visa for a year

Surely, there is a difference in the degree of complexity of your question or in the details, but you need to find out about this only at the consulate or visa center itself.

Information about all visa centers for Russian cities is on the official website Spain visa service center.

You need to learn about what documents are needed and what are the requirements for them from the materials published only on the official site.

There you can also find out information about the visa centers themselves - in which cities new ones have opened, in which ones they have closed, when the visa centers are on holiday, and when they are working normally.

The list of documents that need to be submitted to the visa center is the same as for many other EU countries:

  • questionnaire,
  • international passport (and a copy of all pages)
  • A copy of all pages of other passports: valid and canceled.
  • A copy of the completed pages of the general passport
  • certificate from the place of work,
  • hotel reservations
  • confirmation of your financial solvency,
  • bank account statement (Financial status: €64.53 per person for each day of stay (minimum €580.77 per trip per person)
  • insurance,
  • photographs (take them in advance, the new visa center does not have such a service yet).

Therefore, people deceive themselves when they pay money to intermediaries for obtaining a visa, who supposedly have special opportunities and loopholes in the visa center.

The visa center has a special hall for submitting group documents. We saw specialists there. They wait their turn in the same way, prepare their folders, submit documents to the window.

Friends, the visa center is a very convenient place, where everything is thought out and done for the convenience of the person submitting documents.

But there are also cases when it will be easier to prepare documents through a travel agency.

Friends, we are now on Telegram: our channel about Europe, our channel about Asia. Welcome)

Address: st. Letnikovskaya 11/10b building 1, Paveletskaya metro station.

After leaving the entrance you immediately run into the building. Go around it to the left, around the corner there will be a door - this is the entrance to the visa center.

You go up to the 2nd floor. A frame with guards will appear in front of you, where you will be asked to present documents (foreign passport). Since documents are submitted only by appointment, the security guard will find you on the list. Then the items are inspected and receipts are issued with your queue number.

The visa center has just moved into this building, so some halls are still closed and are being renovated. But there are toilets.

In the future, the entire territory should be divided into three parts:

  • for those who apply for a visa
  • for those receiving a visa
  • for those who need help

Today there is a hall of about 80 sq.m. Approximately 20 chairs and 12 windows for submitting documents, 3 booths for submitting fingerprints, and a cash desk.
