Vokzal Zhlobin-Pass.: timetable of trains and electric trains for the station. Train timetable: Zhlobin

Reconstructed ultra-modern railway station Zhlobin station.

I decided to go to the town of Zhlobin by suburban train in order to get a clearer idea of how the Gomel region of the Republic of Belarus lives. Although Zhlobin cannot be called a province in the full sense of the word, because it stands at the intersection of 2 major railways, Bakhmach - Gomel - Minsk and St. Petersburg - Orsha - Korosten. Many times in my life I passed this station on the way to St. Petersburg, I remember that trade in soft toys used to flourish there, which is no longer there.

I found on the net a photo of this "unobtrusive" trade, which was flourishing 10 years ago. I think that many people who traveled to St. Petersburg from Ukraine through Belarus remember this station for this very reason.
By the way, I never could have thought before that one day I would end up in Zhlobin not as a passing passenger of an express train.

Electrification came to this famous station just a few months ago. And I still remember Zhlobin in the 70s, when from the window of the Kyiv-Leningrad train I observed the complete domination of the TE3 diesel locomotives here, and the Leningrad train itself crawled in those days towards Mogilev slowly, like a turtle, bowing to each stop. Much water has flown under the bridge since that time.
Already at the end of the 80s, jointless tracks were laid in all directions from Zhlobin, which significantly increased the speed of movement, and traction began to be carried out by the latest high-speed diesel locomotives TEP70 at that time. And finally, this diesel locomotive kingdom, in the second decade of the 21st century, waited for electrification, which came here along the main axial direction, from Minsk.
But with electric locomotives, the warhead is still tense, traction in the Minsk-Osipovichi-Zhlobin section is still carried out mainly by diesel locomotives. The entire BC has only 15 ChS4T passenger electric locomotives in its assets. The situation with trucks is better, the Baranovichi depot has 53 trucks VL80S and 12 Chinese BKG1. All this, except for the "Chinese", was received by the Belarusian road back in the first half of the 80s, when they launched the electrification of the Moscow-Brest main line.
But let's hope that as the electric traction moves towards Gomel, the warhead will resolve the issue with the traction stock with the help of either the Chinese or the Russians.

The Minsk train, it was the only rolling stock operating on electric traction that I saw. Many people moved from the Gomel diesel engine to it in order to drive further towards Bobruisk and Minsk.
My hopes to see in Zhlobin the Minsk "teremok" ChS4T, the baranovichi "vylnik" VL80S or even the Chinese BKG1 turned out to be futile.

The modern electronic scoreboard made an impression.

The main line Minsk - Gomel - Bakhmach goes to the southeast, to the bridge across the Dnieper, which is no more than a kilometer away. By the way, electrification ends exactly in front of this single-track bridge. On the right, a line is visible, making a sharp turn to the south and leaving for Kalinkovichi and Korosten. This sharp turn just shows that the road to Korosten was built later, by the way, during the First World War.
And in Zhlobin there is a southern railway bypass, with a railway bridge across the Dnieper. Who knows if it works?

The railway came here 140 years ago, during the construction of Libavo-Romenskaya railway. Crossing the road St. Petersburg - Orsha - Korosten was built at the beginning of the 20th century. Since then, Zhlobin has become one of the most important railway junctions in the western part of Russia - the USSR.

Station building in full face. Is it really handsome?
There is also a separate electronic scoreboard on each platform.

The contact network on the line Osipovichi - Zhlobin was assembled by the Chinese using their own technology. And yes, she is somewhat different in appearance from our Russian.

Here, despite electrification, diesel trains still prevail. They go towards Kalinkovichi, Gomel and Mogilev.

Garbage collection at the station.
Perfect and total purity, this is the main business card and lifestyle of the Belarusian state. One gets the feeling that all Belarusians are born, live and leave this world in perfect purity.
Here you have to try very hard to find an abandoned plastic bottle, a cigarette butt or a bag.

Cleaning completed. Not all bags were full.

From the side of Mogilev, under the Orsha TEP70, the train St. Petersburg - Odessa arrived. In 6 hours it can be seen in our Ukrainian Korosten.
