There are four mangal points where you can fry shish kebabs: two in the Kirovskaya floodplain (Isakovskogo street, opposite houses 4-6), two in the Stroginskaya floodplain (on the cape of Chisty Bay). Nature Reserve "Valley of the Setun River"
The natural reserve "Valley of the Setun River" stretches along the riverbed and covers an area of almost 700 hectares. On the territory of the reserve there are three old manor parks: the Troyekurovo estate, Spasskoye on Setun, Troitse-Golenishchevo. Civilization in the form of manicured lawns and solar-powered lanterns coexists with untouched, albeit slightly littered, nature. In several places of the reserve there are picnic areas equipped with benches and tables, but there are not many of them. Barbecues and garbage bags should be taken with you.
Northwest of Moscow
Strogino
The Stroginsky floodplain, which is also called the Stroginsky backwater or the Stroginsky Bay, is the right bank of the Moskva River Bay. A green zone, where in spring and summer a lot of citizens spend their free time lying on the beach or walking with children on playgrounds, fishing and boating. There are only five equipped picnic areas there: three barbecue points on the Cape of Chisty Bay, and two - in the area of house number 1 on Odintsovskaya Street.
The natural park is located on the very outskirts of Moscow. It is stretched along the left bank of the Skhodnya River. Meadows are replaced by mixed forests and copses there, there are small swamps, 70 species of plants listed in the Red Book grow, and a population of wild orchids.
There are four picnic areas on the territory of the park: one in the Birch Grove, two in the Zakharyinskaya floodplain and one more in the microdistrict No. 11 of the park. The playgrounds are equipped with barbecues, benches and bins.
North of Moscow
Natural and historical park "Pokrovskoe-Streshnevo"
Most of the parks where you can make barbecue in Moscow within the law are located in the north of the city. There are vast territories of the Pokrovskoye-Streshnevo natural and historical park. There are equipped barbecue places in the All Saints Grove and the Shchukinsky Forest Park, as well as in the park along Angarskaya Street and the park near the Dzhamgarovsky Pond. Fili Park
The Fili park resembles a fairy-tale protected forest. It is clean and secluded there: one of the most beautiful and comfortable places in the north of Moscow for recreation and sports. Barbecue areas are truly heroic: chic wooden tables with huge benches are installed there, cast-iron braziers are dug into the ground. There are trash cans.
Khimki Forest Park
There are many squirrels in the Khimki forest park. They are fed here and they are almost tame: very trusting and contact. Grab some treats for them and you might be able to hand feed them. There are more than ten picnic areas in Lesopark near Levoberezhnaya and Dybenko streets. There are braziers, and they are deep, so you need to take a lot of coal - 5-7 kg. But a lot of meat will be fried on them.
Northeastern Administrative District
Park "Otrada"
"Otrada" - a park in the floodplain of the Likhoborka River in the Otradnoye district, next to Altufevskoye Highway. It stretches as far as the Vladykinsky metro bridge and is very popular among residents of nearby areas. There are several sites with wooden gazebos, equipped with benches, tables and barbecues.
Timiryazevsky park
Picnic areas in Timiryazevsky Park are equipped with tables and benches. Barbecues need to be carried with you. The park itself is a real forest, a deserted, wild and charming place. There is interesting flora and many secluded places. The park has several entrances and exits, the most convenient entrance to the picnic area is from Pasechnaya Street.
East and southeast of Moscow
Park at the Bolshoy Perovsky Pond
The park at the intersection of Perovskaya and Kuskovskaya streets is being improved anew. Here new trees will be planted and lawns will be laid out, paths, ramps and recreation areas will be made. Picnic spots are still in place, but it is not known whether they will fit into the updated landscape.
Natural and historical park "Izmailovo"
The Izmailovsky forest has been cleaned and cultivated in recent years. It is famous for its old broad-leaved forests - linden groves and oak forests, ponds and quiet alleys with benches and playgrounds. There are 15 picnic spots in Izmailovo. They are located in the Terletsky Forest Park at the corner of Metallurgov Street and Terletsky Proyezd, along the Main Alley on the banks of the Deer Pond, as well as along 16th Parkovaya Street (between Izmailovsky Boulevard and Pervomaiskaya Street) and along Chechulin Street. All picnic spots have barbecues and large oak tables with benches.
Park "Kuzminki"
There are three picnic towns in the Kuzminki park. Signs and information boards lead to them. They are equipped with long wooden tables, durable benches and benches, awnings. Nearby there are convincingly sized barbecue grills, garbage containers, barrels for used coals.

One is located closer to the village of Rudnevo, the second - to Lukhmanovskaya street; another picnic spot is located on the southwestern shore of Lake Beloe. Picnic spots are designed for large companies and are equipped with benches, barbecues and trash cans. There are also picnic areas on the shores of the most beautiful lakes of glacial origin located in the park. True, there are only three of them, and the place is popular, so the competition on the weekend is quite high.
South and southwest of Moscow
Arboretum "Biryulevsky"
In the estate of Tsaritsyno, which is part of the territory of the arboretum, there are, of course, no places for picnics. Not at the very palaces to make them! But you can walk to the picnic areas in the depths of the arboretum. There are paid free seats, equipped for picnics: a table and benches under the roof, barbecue facilities. There are only 8 free picnic sites in the entire park, so on weekends you need to take a place early. The park has playgrounds for children and real sakura is about to bloom.
Bitsevsky forest There are three places where you can make barbecue in Bitsevsky forest. They are located at the intersection of Golubinskaya and Inessa Armand streets. As a cultural program, you can see the Boyar House, the noble estate and the burial mounds of the Vyatichi people of the 11th-13th centuries.
If you want to have a guaranteed free place for a barbecue picnic at the peak of the weekend, it’s better to take care of it in advance: Muscovites occupy most of the convenient places already from eight in the morning!
