Rest in Crimea in Yalta in 2019- this is probably the dream of every tourist. No wonder, because the first city that comes to mind at the mention of Crimea is the city of Yalta. In this article I will talk about holidays in Crimea in 2019 in Yalta, about popular myths among vacationers - inexpensive vacation in Yalta and rest in Yalta near the sea, and also tell you about the rest in Yalta in hotels and the sights of Yalta.

Yalta rest by the sea, rest in Crimea in 2019 in Yalta

So, Yalta is a seaside resort town in the Crimea. There are two concepts: Malaya Yalta and Big Yalta. Big Yalta is an administrative unit that includes the entire territory between the village of Gurzuf in the east and Foros in the West with many resort villages and two cities: Yalta and Alupka.

Yalta is located between the Black Sea and the main range of the Crimean Mountains. Two small rivers flow in Yalta. The main reason why people come here is tourism and rest in Yalta near the sea. Summer is the high season in Yalta, the peak is in August. AT Yalta rest in August will be the most expensive, this period is observed the most high prices for everything in Yalta.

Holidays in Yalta by the sea in 2019 It's also healing. Pine forests that cover the slopes of the Crimean mountains produce healing air rich in phytoncides. These are active substances. which are produced by plants, have a beneficial effect on the human body and inhibit the growth of bacteria.

Yalta as a resort on the Black Sea has been known since the 19th century, when people came here for treatment at a climatic resort. For this reason, in Yalta to rest by the sea many famous people came: the families of kings, many writers, poets, artists, musicians were associated with this place.

First, I’ll tell you about the two biggest misconceptions in Yalta: inexpensive vacation in Yalta andrest in Yalta near the sea.

Myth #1. Inexpensive holidays in Yalta in 2019

Often I hear wishes to find . Such requests make me smile, because so far this is a pipe dream. And I would like people not to be disappointed and understand this in advance. Yalta is the most expensive city, the most promoted resort and need to look elsewhere. For example, in Evpatoria, in Saki, in Olenevka. In Yalta, you can save on something, spend a vacation on a budget, but not cheap. The most inexpensive vacation in Yalta is a vacation in the off season. During the season, you will overpay for everything at times, keep this in mind.

I have a friend who rents a two-room apartment in Yalta. In the off season, the rental price is 1000 rubles. per day. During the season, she rents the same apartment for 4,000 rubles. per day. In Yalta, not far from the embankment, there are people with a sign about renting housing. Cheaper than 1000 rubles. No one has a room for two.

So forget about inexpensive vacation in Yalta in 2019 during the holiday season. Crimeans do not work all year (not all, but those associated with tourism) in order to work for everything during the season, and to have enough money until the next season.

Myth #2. Rest in Yalta near the sea

Going to Yalta, some vacationers misunderstand some things. One of them is “I want to come to Yalta for a vacation by the sea, so that I can go out in a swimsuit and immediately go to the beach.” If you need to live right next to the beach, then there are simply no such offers in Yalta. Because Yalta is a city with a population of 77,000 people. In addition to hotels and boarding houses on the seashore. Only these hotels will not be in the city of Yalta itself, but near the city in neighboring villages. And you will have to go to the city by bus or taxi. In the city, the beach is public and there is no housing on the first line. There are restaurants, cafes, museums, but no housing. Before him, you have to stomp your feet.

Sea holidays in Crimea in Yalta: how to get there

There are several ways to get to Yalta. Let's look at the most popular of them.

On a plane to rest in the Crimea to Yalta

Since there is no airport in the city of Yalta, you can get by plane through the airport in Simferopol. In my opinion, this is the most convenient way get to rest in Crimea to Yalta in 2019. The only downside is freedom of movement. If you are used to traveling by car, then in this case you will either have to rent a car or take a taxi. Otherwise, a plane to Simferopol is the fastest and most comfortable way to be in the Crimea. A new beautiful airport has been opened in Simferopol, this is already a landmark.

However, in spite of everything, I managed to go to the Crimea back and forth in May 2019 for 9,000 rubles. In general, I believe that this is a “red price” for Crimea. I wouldn't have gone any further. But this is my opinion. And in the season I would not overpay for everything. It is better to go before or after the season than to overpay for the same flights, attractions and entertainment at times.

So be sure to consider this way of moving you to the sea. Flights can be booked here (as I did in May).

Rest the sea in the Crimea in Yalta by car

The advantage of this way to get to the Crimea is your mobility. Ride where you want and how much you want! Also, you don't have to pay for transfers. There is only one minus - the travel time to the Crimea, it will take 20-30 hours from Moscow, but you will see Crimean bridge.

If you are traveling from Krasnodar Territory- This is clear. But from St. Petersburg it will already be difficult, especially with children. About the cities beyond the Urals, I generally keep quiet, for them rest in Crimea in Yalta in 2019 will cost more than flying to the Maldives. And, even by car, even by plane.

On a train to rest in Crimea inexpensively to Yalta

It is believed that the cheapest way to get to Yalta, to Crimea is by train. True, when I went to the Russian Railways website, I found prices about the same as I bought a ticket to Simferopol in May. And travel time is a separate issue. First, to the Krasnodar Territory, 23-37 hours (from Moscow), and then by bus across the Crimean bridge. The option is not for the faint of heart. And most importantly, this same savings is only for those who live next to Krasnodar Territory. From Moscow there is no difference anymore. The cheapest is 30 hours in a reserved seat to Anapa or Krasnodar for 2500 rubles, a coupe from 3900 rubles. (train 37 hours on the way) and 5100 rubles. (train 23 hours on the way). But this is only Anapa or Krasnodar, then another bus. For these purposes, you can buy a "Single ticket from Russian Railways". But first, consider whether you are ready for this. It's easier to add a couple of thousand and buy a plane ticket.

By bus for an inexpensive vacation in Yalta

Buses to Yalta run from many major cities Russia. For example, from Moscow. Travel time is very, very long.

Nature of Yalta, sights

Ai-Petri (from the Greek "Saint Peter") one of the most famous Crimean mountains. Sea holidays in Crimea in Yalta in 2019 not complete without visiting Ai-Petri, especially by cable car. Her picturesque peaks, which fence off Yalta from the outside world, have become a symbol not only south coast, but of the entire Crimean peninsula. This legendary mountain range is attractive for tourists, because from its top, an amazing view of the entire southeastern coast of Crimea opens up. In order to see these magnificent panoramas, many tourists climb Ai-Petri all year round. In the summer, on Ai-Petri, you can ride horses, mountain bikes and jeeps, and paragliding. And in winter, snowy slopes attract skiers and snowmobile racers.

Grand Canyon of Crimea - Another must-see attraction for those who travel by seaside vacation in Crimea in Yalta. The Grand Canyon of Crimea, hidden in the depths of the northern slope of the Ai-Petri massif, is one of the amazing natural wonders of the peninsula. This largest and most majestic gorge in the country was formed about two million years ago as a result of active movements of lithospheric plates and is a huge tectonic fault. The canyon impresses with its grandeur: its depth is more than 320 meters. The slopes of the gorge, which are composed of whimsical limestone color, are covered with hundreds of species of trees and grass, including rare ones. Trout lives in the purest waters of the rivers and lakes of the Canyon, and in the forests that stretch in the lower part of the gorge you can see hedgehogs, badgers and roe deer.

Nikitsky Botanical Garden is a real museum open sky, one of the most unique places on the southern coast of Crimea. This is a man-made park, a recognized masterpiece of landscape art and is one of the oldest and most famous botanical gardens in the world. It is rightly called the green treasury of the peninsula: unique plant species from all over the world are collected here. Be sure to visit the Nikitsky Botanical Garden if you come to rest on the sea in Crimea in Yalta.
The history of the Nikitsky Botanical Garden began 200 years ago, in 1812. It was created by decree of Emperor Alexander I in order to develop horticulture and farming in the south Russian Empire. The founder and first director of the garden, prominent botanist Christian Stephen, collected plant samples from different regions of Europe, Asia and America. Today, thanks to its large collection of rare species, breeds and forms of plants, the Nikitsky Botanical Garden is one of the most scenic spots on the peninsula. In April, an exhibition of tulips is traditionally held in the Nikitsky Botanical Garden.

swallow's Nest, Yalta - fantastic castle perched on the edge of a cliff overlooking the sea. The castle was built at the beginning of the 20th century on a beautiful rock. This is undoubtedly one of the most popular sights of the Crimea. The whole structure is quite small, only about 20 meters high. The swallow's nest looks magical, as if taken from a fairy tale. Be sure to visit if you are planning a vacation in the Crimea in 2019 in Yalta. I also advise you to read an article about my visit to this attraction called .

From entertainment for children: the theater of marine animals "Aquatoria", the zoo in the mountains "Glade of Fairy Tales", a very beautiful embankment with a bunch of attractions, fountains and vendors of all sorts of things, the Atlantis water park (completely new), boat trips (dolphins swim up very close ), you can go to Alushta (there is also a water park). For adults - interesting excursions, restaurants on the embankment and discos on ships, in the summer there are a lot of artists, and you can go to a concert.

Rest in Yalta: hotels

If you have already caught fire with everything you read and want to visit Yalta, then you need to think about housing. There are many proposals from the private sector, but you have to look for it locally. It is dangerous to make an advance payment on all sorts of cards to unknown people! Do not repeat other people's mistakes. Therefore, I recommend booking hotels through trusted sites. If a private sector you are attracted more - it does not matter. In order not to rush like crazy around Yalta in search of housing, especially during the season, you can book the first day at the hotel. In this case, you will know for sure that you have a place to stay, and then look for suitable housing in the city, on the spot. On the first day, you will have time to get comfortable, and also, perhaps, chat with locals or vacationers and find out the order of prices. This will be a plus for you so that you are not scammed by cunning realtors, as they love to do, take advantage of the fact that people have just arrived and are still poorly oriented in prices and offers.

And you can stay at the hotel for all days of rest in Yalta. How do I do. You are guaranteed service, cleaning in the rooms, food. I think that this is the most civilized holiday.

Rest in Yalta hotels. A selection of budget hotels in Yalta

So, today I talked about Yalta, holidays in Yalta hotels, inexpensive holidays in Yalta (which is possible only in the off season) and holidays in Crimea in 2019 in Yalta. If you are going to Crimea, I highly recommend reading the following articles.

Full list Abbreviated List

Everyone loves cable cars, right? These translucent cabins of different sizes and shapes, swiftly rushing or slowly sliding to the top of the mountain, hill - to any height, from where a gorgeous view of the city and everything around opens up. If you are relaxing in Yalta, then you have the opportunity to ride a cable car, and even two.

The cableway "Yalta-Gorka" was built and put into operation in 1967. There are 600 meters of path that tiny double cabins overcome in 12 minutes. There are only two stations - upper and lower, and the movement is looped.

The route passes by the gilded domes of the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the Yalta Gymnasium named after A.P. Chekhov, interesting facades of hotels and just above the courtyards local residents who are already accustomed to the colored booths floating above their roofs. The hill in this case is Darsan Hill, from which panoramas of the city open.

How to get there

You can approach the cable car from three sides:

  1. From the central embankment of Yalta. Turn off the embankment near the big clock and go up the steps on the right past the dining room. Or go to the cable car through another turn from the embankment. There will be a big sign "Cableway".
  2. From the Sadovaya stop. Go down towards the embankment through a pleasant green square and turn right before the steps at the crossroads. So you will pass by the oldest hotel in Yalta "Tavrida". On her memorial plaque you can find the names of many famous people who lived here.
  3. From the stop "Marine". Right next to the stop is the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. Be sure to go to the territory of the temple and admire its interior decoration. After that, go down into the underpass, and after leaving it, turn left. There will be a short descent. Don't miss the wide staircase on the left leading to the cable car.

Price, mode of operation, what to look for

  • Round trip fare: 300 rubles for an adult and 200 rubles for a child (from 5 to 10 years old). Children under 5 years old - free of charge.
  • The cable car "Yalta - Gorka" works without breaks and days off. You can go up and down from 10:00 to 22:00. The cabin is designed for two people, there are only two seats inside. Two adults of average build and a child will fit, but we still need to have time to climb all together. The cabins do not stop moving, so you need to get in and out on the go. For some people, such a landing causes stress, because everything must be done quickly, and entering through the doors that open inward is not very convenient. But no one is rushing you. You can choose a booth by color and see how others jump in, and then try it yourself. It is strictly forbidden to continue to sit in the booth when she calls into the engine room. But to be honest, nothing bad will happen if you do go there.
  • I think this is understandable, but: throwing garbage out of the booth, spitting, opening the doors and swinging in it is not necessary.

  • To understand the atmosphere of the trip, watch or remember a piece from the movie "Assa", where the characters ride just on this cable car. Today, of course, the cabins are already more closed and bright, but the dilapidated houses are still the same.

The route of the cable car Yalta - Gorka

The cabins begin to gain height, passing through the cypress alley, almost immediately.

You will definitely pay attention to the tower clock. It was they who were the first city clock that arrived in Crimea in 1896, and they were installed on the tower of Baron Wrangel. An expensive pleasure for those times, but the baron was the head of the city and decided to pay for them out of his own pocket. The famous tower could be seen from the waterfront and many parts of the city.

Surprisingly, the clock the mechanism is still working, and the tower itself has recently been restored. Now ordinary Yalta residents live in it. A spiral staircase leads under the roof, just in time for the room with the mechanism. The apartments there are small, but people like to live within the historical walls.

A little further along the road you will see the domes of the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral sparkling in the sun. This is the main Orthodox church cities. It was built under Alexander III. Its neo-Russian style decorative elements are best viewed close up, but a very beautiful view opens up from above.

Yards. Real Yalta. In such a strange way you can see the life of ordinary Yalta residents. In some places you will drive so low that you can easily see children's toys left in the yard.

At the top you will be greeted by a good cafe and an interesting exposition of metal figures (the children will definitely like it). But there is no viewing platform as such. That is, of course, there is a place for photographing, but tall trees block some of the views.

No need to rush back to the center. Across the road from the Darsan hill is the Hill of Glory with a memorial complex to all Soviet people who fell in the Civil and Great Patriotic War. It was opened on the 50th anniversary of the Great October Revolution. The design with the Eternal Flame is impressive.

Too bad the hill looks unkempt. You can buy a one-way ticket and go down from the Hill of Glory on foot. It will be necessary to go simply along the line of movement of the cable car. So you can see the old Yalta houses and walk past the existing gymnasium named after A.P. Chekhov.

Some people are disappointed with this cable car ride. I - never. Maybe someone lacks entertainment and thrill, but this chamber atmosphere always brings only warmth. Well, for the height and views, you need to go to the cable car to Ai-Petri.

Couldn't resist not to show old postcard with the Memorial of Glory. Previously, there was such a cosmic view from the observation deck of the Yalta-Gorka cable car. By the way, in Yalta there are several more cable cars, only they are located on the territory of boarding houses and sanatoriums.

However, the best of the Yalta cable cars are at your disposal. Although for show, but ride on both. Feelings and impressions will be a lot. However, photos too.

Have something to add?

in the rubric

The next time you walk along the Yalta embankment, please note that it is attractive not only for the abundance of cafes and all kinds of shops. Behind their dense wall, which separates the coast and the city itself, you can find the entrance to the Small Cable Car (it is also called Yalta Hill). Compared to Miskhorskaya, it will not be so large in size, and nevertheless, there are quite a lot of hunters to this attraction in the summer. It is known by both the indigenous population and tourists, why is it so interesting for all of us?

History of Yalta-Gorka

First time Small cable car opened to the public in 1967. Its lower station is located between the cafeteria, which is on the right, and the hotel "Tavrida", which is located on the left. But the upper station was built on Darsanovsky hill. The distance from one to the other is only 600 meters, the height difference between them is 120 meters.

Two passengers fit in one cabin, there is no stop during the movement, and you will have to go to your seat on the go. The fact is that the cable car moves in a circle according to the principle of an attraction known as the Ferris Wheel, that is, non-stop. The entire route takes 12-15 minutes, and this will be enough to appreciate the landscapes that have opened up. And this is the whole embankment, the delightful sea, cathedrals, old Yalta quarters and much more.

The employees of this cable car claim that there have been no accidents during the entire period of its operation. The fare is paid: adults go up one way for 30 hryvnia, and children - for 10. This attraction is open all year round, opening hours are from 10 to 18. Sometimes the cable car is closed for maintenance work, but usually all technical activities are carried out in winter. If you wish, you can go up in one direction, and go back on foot. You will move along the old Yalta streets - L. Ukrainka or st. Voykovo. This is where the gymnasium is located. Chekhov, as well as the house of Lesya Ukrainka, in which the Ukrainian poetess lived.

What awaits us at the top

Darsan Hill is located between two rivers, Uchan-Su (Waterfall) flows from the west, and you will see Derekoika (in Bystraya pass) from the east. There is an observation deck on this hill, the height of which is 138 meters above sea level, and from here you can get a good view of the whole city. Nearby is a cozy restaurant where you can have a delicious meal and admire the panorama of Yalta and its environs.

After you explore the Darsan hill, you can go to Historical Museum Yalta. Today it is a complex complex, which includes several exhibition departments: pre-revolutionary history and the history of the society of councils, House-Museums. N.Z. Biryukova, P.A. Pavlenko, K.A. Trenev, as well as the sector of applied holography. Separately, it is worth considering the department of archeology and modern Russian Yalta culture.

In total, the museum collection includes about 75,000 original exhibits. From documents and photographs, one can judge the history of the bourgeois resort, about what prominent figures have been here, how Soviet power was established in the city, and how the resort became different - socialist. Of particular value are exhibits that testify to the heroism of ordinary workers during the Great Patriotic War.

The exposition reflects the successes of post-war construction, the fulfillment and overfulfillment of five-year plans, and the prospects for the development of resorts on the southern coast and their reconstruction are immediately outlined. About 800 thousand visitors a year come to watch these and other exhibitions, and the proximity of the Malaya Yalta cable car plays an important role in this moment.

Hill of Glory

In the neighborhood is the Hill of Glory, and if you go to it, a memorial complex and a pedestal of the Eternal Flame will open in front of you. This exposition was dedicated to the heroes who fell during the Great Patriotic War and civil wars. A monument was erected according to the drawings of architects Neterburzhtsev V.A., Popov A.A. and Stepanova A.V. The eternal flame flared up on November 6, 1967, the basis for this was the flame from the Sevastopol Malakhov barrow. Currently, unfortunately, the Eternal Flame does not burn.

The Yalta cable car will give a joyful leisure time for people of all ages. The kids will love the beautiful views. viewing platforms. Admirers of an active lifestyle will be able to see the old city blocks while they go down to the embankment. Seniors will appreciate the possibility of a leisurely walk among the beautiful outdoor environment. And in that, and in another, and in the third case, warm memories of the proximity of the Yalta summer and the beauty of Yalta, lying right at your feet, will remain with you.

Good day!

Resting in Sudak, we decided to go on a tour of Yalta. No sooner said than done. We bought an excursion, which included a visit to the Lighthouse Temple (overview), the Vorontsov Palace, the Ai-Petri Cable Car, the Ai-Petri Plateau, the Swallow's Nest, the ship to Yalta and the Cable Car to Darsan Hill.

On the Yalta-Gorka cable car or a small cable car, we were already after the Cable car to Mount Ai-Petri, so the impressions turned out to be a little blurry. In my opinion, emotions go better in ascending order. If possible, visit the Small Cable Car first. We were both there and there on the same day organized excursion, so we could not choose the order of visiting objects. In our case, the Yalta-Gorka cable car was the final stage of the tour.

The entrance to the Cable Car begins on the central embankment, next to the building of the hotel "Tavrida", not far from the pier. There is a sign in front of the entrance. You need to climb up a bit, and there is already a ticket office and landing.

Cabins are double. In total, judging by the serial numbers, there are 40 or 50 (I don’t remember exactly). Cabins of different colors: green, blue and orange. We were in green. I liked to go alone, without strangers. During that long day of excursion, my husband and I were alone for the first time and were glad of this. We had time to discuss the trip and admire beautiful views Yalta. The trailers offer a beautiful panorama of Yalta and, of course, there is a view of the sea.

Rules for boarding and disembarking from the cable car.

There are certain rules for boarding and disembarking passengers from the cabin: you need to enter the cabin with your left foot, and exit with your right.

On the eve of the trip, I injured my left leg, unsuccessfully stepping on a stone in the sea, so landing in the cockpit with my left foot was not at all perfect for me

How is the landing.

The cable car employee explains the rules and controls the process before boarding. First, the first person enters, then the second person, we sit down, close the doors and start enjoying. You need to enter very quickly, because the booths go in a circle and they are not stopped, you need to jump into them.

Time travel.

The rise time lasts 12 minutes.

Road length:

Some of our photos from the cable car.

How is the landing.

Much easier than landing. We leave, I remind you, with the right foot.

Our trip on the Yalta-Gorka cable car ends on the top of the Darsan hill. Upstairs there is a restaurant and a paid toilet.
