The blue lakes of Kazan are a place with healing power. Blue Lakes, Kazan: photos, how to get there

On the Blue Lake we went as part of our road trip to Kazan. The route was planned in such a way as to see not only the city, but also the suburbs - Blue Lakes And island city of Sviyazhsk. Details of the route and the whole trip will be later, today I want to tell you whether it is worth spending time on a place that is popular for Kazan, but not quite known to people from other cities.

Blue Lake (12 km from Kazan along the M7 highway) is a real oasis of coolness and tranquility after the hustle and bustle.
When traveling to Kazan, plan your time to walk along the forest paths and see the lake. It is even possible to swim if you are not afraid of the water temperature of about 6°C.
Do not expect supernatural beauty, but relax for a few hours and have a great time in a quiet place, for which your lungs and nerves will say "thank you".

The unique cascade of the Blue Lakes, as scientists and biologists call it, is called the Pearl of Tatarstan and is protected by the state.

The depth of the reservoir reaches 15 meters. This is the deepest lake in the system of karst lakes on the Kazanka River. The purest spring water enters the lake from underground, this is the reason for absolute transparency and a constant rather low temperature throughout the year.
Thanks to the crystal clear water, you can see the bottom of the lake and its inhabitants, listed in the Red Book.

In case of depletion of natural groundwater reserves, these lakes will disappear on their own.
But until this happens (and it won’t happen in the next decades), you can safely come and admire the natural landmark of Kazan.

2.

3. Immediately after the bridge, along the highway, passing the village of Shcherbakovo, there is a small parking lot for cars. But we saw several parked cars at the entrance to the lake, in front of the barrier, although the exit from the bridge is prohibited.

4. To the first lake, you need to walk 500 meters along a forest path.

5. Don't be afraid, you don't have to go up the hill, such paths remain on the sidelines.

6. Stop at the first lake. Swimming bridge provided.

7. The adjacent water area to the lakes, and the river itself requires, if not major, then at least cosmetic repairs. Remove all the garbage, clear the water of silt and mud, and a place that is not very attractive for tourists will sparkle with new colors.

8. Someone's caring hands made white swans from old tires and launched them onto the "island".

10.

11. But our goal is not them. It is still 500 meters to the main Blue Lake.

12.

13. And now a soft laugh is heard, "splash": someone dived!

Despite the fact that the water in the lake is not more than 6-7 degrees, there are enough people who want to swim on a hot day. Children are especially seen in this fun activity.
By the way, I didn’t even want to wet my legs at all, but Petya gladly plunged victorious three times with an interval of 5 minutes for heating. And then I once again noticed that we have a winner and an athlete. You look, at such a pace, we’ll start walrus swimming)).

14. Cyclists come here and quite a lot of vacationers in specially equipped "barbecue" places.

15. There are changing cabins and wooden gazebos. True, it was not possible to see what they are for and what they are equipped with.

Output: If you are by car and you have a couple of hours of free time - feel free to go to the lakes, you are unlikely to regret it. And for "walruses" generally ideal conditions.

See you somewhere else!

What does a person want in the summer, when the thermometer crosses the twenty-degree mark and is not going to stop there? Well, of course, to leave the dusty and stuffy city, breathe fresh air, go fishing, swim or walk through the forest in search of berries. And how wonderful that for this you do not need to spend money on long-distance travel, it is enough to plan a trip to the Blue Lakes (Lukhovitsy)! Do not believe that you can have a good rest there? This article will dispel all your doubts.

There are three capitals in Russia - Moscow, Ryazan and Lukhovitsy

This small town in the Kolomensky district of the Moscow region is famous primarily for the best cucumbers in the entire district. Lukhovites even erected a monument to this vegetable. It is called "Cucumber-breadwinner", and you can admire it while driving along the M-5 "Ural" highway. In general, as for a quiet city, there are a lot of unusual sights in Lukhovitsy. Here you can take a picture next to the monument to the postman Pechkin, visit the Cucumber Museum and walk along the Walk of Fame, where the best examples of domestic military equipment: L-29 jet training aircraft, PM-37 mortar, T-55 tank, M-30 howitzer, BS-3 anti-tank gun, BM-37 mortar and MiG-21 fighter. But the main attraction that makes attractive vacation in Lukhovitsy, - Blue lakes. They live up to their name and are an adornment of the local landscape.

Drop to drop - a lake, without them - a desert

Who said, that man-made miracles- entirely architectural monuments yes works of art? Not at all, and the inhabitants of Lukhovitsy know this firsthand. When work on the extraction of quartz sand in the quarries of the Soyuzpeski enterprise stopped, underground sources, rains and a natural filter completed what people started. As a result, lakes with the purest blue water were formed at the place of extraction. There are seven large lakes here, but there are also smaller quarries, but no less picturesque. Pine forests and green lawns surrounding these places made the shores of the lakes a favorite vacation spot, first for local residents, and then for tourists from Ryazan and Moscow. However, this is not surprising. After all, to find a reservoir with clean warm water and sandy beaches nearby big cities almost impossible.

One tent, two tent

Clean air, forests full of blueberries, raspberries and strawberries... what else does a person need for complete happiness? That's right - comfort! Blue Lakes (Lukhovitsy) did not remain long with uninhabited shores. Thanks to its wide sandy beach, pond no. 4 has become a favorite vacation spot for families with children. Today there are not only cabanas, many cafes and boat rentals, but also a water slide. Many tourists in conversations call this place none other than the Blue Lakes recreation center. There you can put up a tent and spend on the beach not just one day, but the whole weekend or vacation. For several years in a row, the shores of this lake even became a platform for the bard festival Blue Lakes. Now there every tourist is his own bard. And not only! If you want to be the chef of your tent, it's not a problem: you can make a fire or put on a brazier so that the aromas of your barbecue will be envied even in a cafe on the other side of the lake. Most importantly, do not forget to follow the fire safety rules, otherwise the staff serving this recreation area will immediately call you to order, or even impose a fine. After all, not so long ago these places were already engulfed in forest fire, and no one wants a repetition of those sad events.

Though two ruffs, but the soul is full

Fans of fishing should not despair either: the Blue Lakes recreation center is good not only for families with kids. Carp, crucian carp, ruff and tench are found in local reservoirs. No wonder they say that the main thing that the Blue Lakes (Lukhovitsy) can offer is fishing. In reservoirs No. 2, 5, 7, 8, which locals also called "distant", excellent bite. In addition, the shores here are not particularly chosen by admirers of a comfortable stay, and therefore here you can fully enjoy the silence and solitude. The main thing - do not forget to get a permit to catch fish. It will cost about 1.5-2 thousand rubles. Discounts up to 50% are available for holders of hunting and fishing tickets. The staff of the base periodically bypasses the shores of the lakes with inspection and "hares" are expelled without regret from this paradise place.

Not Ibiza, but nice

Blue Lakes (Lukhovitsy) is a truly universal place, everyone here will find entertainment to their liking. You can dance under the starry sky not only in European resorts, but also here. In the midst of summer, techno-style dance parties, various open-airs, festivals and conceptual events are held on the shores of Lake No. 4. At this time, the banks of the reservoir turn into real tent kingdoms. Even for the regulars of the capital's clubs, this, you see, is an unusual and interesting experience.

Blue lakes (Lukhovitsy): rest with tents

Love to spend your holidays wild? For recreation with a tent Blue Lakes - perfect place. Pure sandy beaches water body No. 4 (and there are only two of them on this reservoir) will appeal to the elderly and kids. The entrance to the water is soft, gentle, and the sand on the beach is clean and fine - if you want to sunbathe, if you want to swim, if you want to surprise your "neighbors" with sand castles. Lakes No. 5,6 and 7 have retained their original beauty. On their banks you can relax from the hustle and bustle, go fishing or just admire the starry sky.

Blue Lakes (Lukhovitsy): how to get there

Get to this picturesque corner nature is easy. From Kazansky railway station in Moscow to Lukhovitsy can be easily reached by train. If you do not want to spend a lot of time on the road, then your choice is the Moscow-Ryazan Express, which stops in this town. It will take you to your destination in just 2 hours. If you prefer the bus, then it will be useful to know that route No. 318 (Moscow, Vykhino metro station) starts running at four in the morning, and last flight to the capital departs from Lukhovitsy at ten in the evening (on Sundays - at eleven). Transit routes also do not bypass the town. For example, from the Vykhino metro station, bus number 330 runs to Zaraysk.

If you like to travel by car, and a few hours behind the wheel are mere trifles for you, then you have maps in your hands ... road, of course. Although the GPS-navigator will not let you get lost. Coordinates to help you: 55 ° 0 "26" N 39 ° 1 "2" E, Google coordinates: 54.998088,39.026181

Address of the Blue Lakes: Lukhovitsy, Ozernaya street, 1. Please note that you need to drive a little further deep into the forest along the dirt road.

Whatever type of transport you choose, no matter how much time you spend on the road, you will not regret your decision to visit Lukhovitsy and the Blue Lakes recreation center.

Kazan is a city where Muslim minarets are visible between Orthodox churches, and there are many unusual landscapes in the area. This locality almost as many years as Moscow. But Kazan is famous not only for its architecture: there are many reservoirs here, and in some, there are legends, even treasures are hidden. We are talking about Lake Kaban. But, Kazan is not famous for this reservoir, but for the Blue Lakes. They attract divers, because they have really clear water.

general description

The name Blue Lakes in Kazan means three reservoirs of karst origin. This complex is located on an area of about 19 square kilometers and is a natural monument.

The lakes got their name because of the salty mud, which is blue in color and is at the bottom. All year round the temperature in the reservoirs is stable, at a level of +3 to +7 degrees. Therefore, few people dare to swim in such cold water even on a hot July day.

The average depth of the lakes is about 3-4 meters, but due to the optical effect of the lens, it seems that they are very shallow. For this reason, divers come here, but there is one feature that not all newcomers know about. The silt, which is at the bottom, has a light gray color, and if you accidentally hook it, then you can forget about the transparency of the water for a long time. Divers who constantly come here adhere to a certain tradition - they lower a decorated Christmas tree to the bottom big lake which can be seen even from the shore.

Light

One of the Blue Lakes of Kazan is called Big or Light. The depth in it is from 1 to 3 meters. However, it has two:

  • Big Deep with a depth of 18 meters;
  • Malaya Abyss 6 meters deep.

In the Great Funnel, keys were found that are saturated with gypsum. Around the very deep place bridges are equipped, here you can meet lovers of cold water and athletes preparing to dive into the Great Abyss. Professional divers and amateurs come here to dive in winter, and even at night. This lake has one runoff in the form of a small waterfall into the Kazanka River.

Small and Big lakes are connected by a dirt path, where you can not only walk, but also ride a bike. The path is located under the bridge, along the mouth of the Kazanka River.

Small and Flowing Lakes

Small Blue is much smaller than Light, and its depth is up to 4 meters. It has two drains to Kazanka, one of which is in the form of a waterfall. There are also equipped places for diving and descent.

Flowing in size is even smaller than the Small Lake, with a depth of up to 3 meters and 1 runoff into the river. It is in this reservoir that the warmest water.

History of appearance

The photo of the Blue Lakes in Kazan is, of course, impressive. After all, a cascade of reservoirs is surrounded by dense woodland and is located in the state reserve. There are many wetlands in the area. The total area of the protected area is 1910 hectares, and lakes - 0.3 hectares. The lake received the protection status in 1972, and in 1994 they were given the status of a protected area. The lakes are actually the beginning of the shallow branch of the Kazanka River.

It is believed that several hundred years ago, the soil sank in these places, and the bowls that appeared were filled with water. And so the lakes were born. By the way, the trunks of ancient trees are still visible from under the thickness of the water.

Flora and fauna

Frogs and crustaceans live in the lakes, there are a lot of algae. There are no fish today, although old-timers say that pike were found in these waters earlier. There have been many attempts to plant fish in the lakes, but the water here is too cold and salty for freshwater fish.

There are a lot of birch trees in the protected area and there are about 97 plant species, some of them are listed in this area. This is a floating mannik, water pine and others.

There are unique animals in the waters - these are the water scorpion and the milky-white planaria, the golden bee-eater. On the banks sometimes there are beavers and muskrats, snakes.

Water composition

If you decide to go on vacation to the Blue Lakes of Kazan, then it will not be superfluous to know the composition of these waters. Analyzes carried out more than once show that local waters are saturated with soluble chemical salts, they account for about 2500 milligrams per 1 liter of water. For example, in the same river Volga there are only 150 grams of them for the same amount of water.

Most of these salts are gypsum. In confirmation of this, on the leaves of plants growing on coastline, sometimes you can even notice with the naked eye a light white coating - gypsum crystals.

The water itself is slightly sticky and has absolutely no smell. And the pungent smell of hydrogen sulfide comes from the sludge. Studies of this density confirmed that the silt can be used as sulfuric mud. How hydrogen sulfide is formed has not been exactly established, but most likely it is created due to the fermentation of sulfates.

The water flow of all three lakes is about 550-600 liters per second, about 250 liters fall on Svetloye Lake.

Diving

Divers dive in the Great Blue Lake. Divers say that incredible landscapes open underwater, almost futuristic views, you can see the sky with stars through the thickness of transparent water, if you dive at night. It is at night in clear weather that the moon and stars shimmer with all the colors of the rainbow.

This place is considered ideal for underwater filming. Many people come here to try out their newly purchased cold water diving equipment. Here it immediately becomes clear how good the new regulator or batteries in the camera are.

As professionals and instructors say, those who were able to dive in the Blue Lake of Kazan can dive anywhere. Training takes place almost every week.

How to get there

The blue lake of Kazan is located near the M17 highway. You can get here by your own or public transport.

Blue Lake

The Blue Lake for Nomads is the usual gathering place. If possible, we gather at the lake every Saturday and swim there. Moreover, our Team even installed new benches in the bathhouse - instead of the old and uncomfortable ones.

Blue Lakes

Geography: Blue Lake is located almost within the Kazan.

The area of the reserve is 1910 hectares, the total area of lakes is 0.3 hectares.

The Blue Lakes have been a natural monument since 1972. In 1994, for environmental purposes, the status was strengthened to a protected one - "State natural reserve of regional significance of the complex profile "Blue Lakes"".

Lakes are natural sights of Kazan.

The system consists of three unconnected lakes - Big Blue (below the bridge over the Kazanka on the Kazan Bypass Road of the M7 motorway),

Flowing and Small Blue (above the bridge along the course of the Kazanka).

The lakes are the oxbows of the Kazanka River, which flows in the immediate vicinity, complicated by karst basins. Karst failures appeared in this area about 200 years ago.

The lakes do not have surface tributaries, they are fed by groundwater, flowing down channels to the Kazanka (up to 600 l/sec). In the summer, this water is significantly cools, and in the winter it warms. Kazanka, preventing ice formation downstream. The water in the lakes is characterized by almost absolute transparency and the optical effect of the lens, in which the depth visually seems to be much less than the real one.

In the hard, bitter taste like sea, mineralized water of the lakes, the content of potassium-calcium sulfite-sulphate salts is high, at their bottom there are large areas of silt salt mud of blue color, which gave the name to the lakes. The color of the water changes with the season and the weather from azure to black. In severe frosts, the water of the lakes strongly soars with local low fog.

Water and mud are used in the nearby sanatorium "Krutushka" and by the unorganized population as curative for psoriasis and other skin diseases.

First short description The Blue Lakes were given in 1829 by the Kazan scientist, rector of the Kazan State University and local historian Karl Fuchs.

Big Blue Lake

In early sources, the former name of the Big Blue Lake is given: Svetloe.

The Big Blue Lake in its larger area has an average depth of 1-3 meters, however, there are two karst funnels - Big and Small Depths. The depth of the Great Deep is 18 meters, the Small Deep is 6 meters. At the bottom of the Great Deep in the northwestern rounded part of the lake, springs saturated with gypsum (up to 250 l / s) beat. The water temperature in the deep rounded part of the lake varies little from season to season and ranges from 5-7 degrees Celsius in summer to 3-4 degrees in winter. From the deep rounded part, the lake zigzags along Kazanka and ends with a runoff into it through two small waterfalls.

Bridges are equipped near the deep rounded part of the lake; this is a favorite place for year-round swimming of walruses and year-round diving in the Great Abyss for Kazan and visiting divers from several federations and unorganized ones. Their almost weekly trainings and informal meetings are held here, in particular, the celebration of the New Year with the traditional dive into the abyss of the decorated New Year tree and drinking champagne under water.

Big Blue Lake

Blue Lake is also a great place for night dives. In the light of lanterns, the sources are viewed to a great depth, it is clear that the outlets of the springs are connected to each other at a considerable depth under the bottom of the lake. An absolutely futuristic picture of the starry sky through a completely transparent lens of water. The stars and the moon shine with all the colors of the rainbow.

Big Blue Lake is more difficult to access than Small Lake, and, as a result, is less known to Kazanians, many of whom identify with Blue Lake (this is how, in the singular, the informal name of the lake system is used), first of all, Small Blue Lake. A dirt road from the depth of the village of Shcherbakovo leads to the rounded part of the Big Lake, and an asphalt road from the village of Kadyshevo leads to the waterfall. At the waterfall part of the lake there is a small settlement-farm and earlier there was a rest house "Blue Lake".

Blue Lakes

Small Blue Lake

Small Blue Lake is much smaller in area, its depth is up to 4 m. There are two runoff to Kazanka, incl. one with a waterfall. The lake and the surrounding area are equipped for recreation and year-round winter swimming - bridges and changing cabins are equipped. In addition to the equipped main Small Lake, downstream of the Kazanka there is another one - Protochnoe, much smaller in size, having a separate drain and shallower depth. The water temperature in the summer in the Small Lake is almost the same as in the Big Blue, in the Protochny - a little higher.

From the bridge over the Kazanka bypass road of the M7 highway after the village of Shcherbakovo there is an asphalted passage through the Flowing Lake in the direction of the Small Lake, ending with a parking lot a few tens of meters from it. A hiking trail leads to the lake. On the other hand, there is an unpaved exit from the sanatorium "Krutushka" and a children's health camp"Baitik" and a glade, which hosts part of the events of the annual international folk song festival "Krutushka".

Small Goluboe is connected to the Big Goluboe Lake by a pedestrian and cycling unpaved path passing under the M7 bridge along Kazanka.

Blue Lakes

For a long time, the energy of the springs filling the lake was used by a stone mill, later by a small hydroelectric power station (until the 1950s). In 1928, Kazanka washed away the jumper that separated the river from the lake and the lake turned out to be lowered. After the restoration of the cofferdam and bank protection works, the lake was restored.

Flora and fauna

Birch, aspen and pine grow in the forests on the territory of the reserve; more than 97 species of aquatic, coastal and terrestrial plants grow near the lakes - sharp and coastal sedge, meadow bluegrass, lake reed, narrow-leaved and broad-leaved cattail, floating manna, hard-leaved ranunculus, water pine and others.

Of the animals listed in the Red Book of Tatarstan, in the reserve there are milky-white planaria and water scorpion (in the water of lakes), mourning, spotted eagle, golden bee-eater. Due to the low temperature and high salt content, fish are not found in the water of the lakes. On the shores of the lakes there are frogs, snakes, a small white water mouse (kotura), muskrats and beavers.
