Is the Konyaalti area of Antalya suitable for a long stay? Schools and kindergartens.

Konyalti district in Antalya is located in the western part of the city, covers a total area of about 414 m2. The population at the end of 2013 is about 137,000 people. The name of the area comes from a small village that was located on the site of the Falez Hotel. Then it was called "Koyalty", later renamed to "Konyalty".

This is the famous district of Antalya, which has its own municipal beach, surrounded by mountains, several shopping centers, hospitals, etc. In this article, we are pleased to tell you about the main microdistricts of Konyalti, where it is preferable. In this case, we are talking about the districts of Arapsuyu, Kushkavay, Altinkum, Gyursu, Uluch, Liman, Khurma. Below is a map for reference.

If you move from the city center to the west, then you get to the beginning of the area, as it is called "Crossroads at Migros". This is where Konyalti begins. If we turn left, we get to the sloppy, where Aqualand, Dolphinarium, and Beach Park are located or " beach park". The second main road that runs along the entire region is called Ataturk Boulevard. It has branches of all major banks, large supermarkets, main bus routes pass right here.

You can also get to know the Konyalti area in more detail.

Arapsuyu Microdistrict

This area begins at the embankment and goes north to the main road - Ataturk Boulevard, borders on the Kushkavay (Kuşkavağı) microdistricts. There is also a museum here open sky- Mini City. Here, mostly low-rise buildings, coastal houses are high-rise. There are also hotels on the first line. The advantage of the area is that it is as close as possible to the center, the Migros shopping center. From social institutions in the area there is a private hospital Özel An-Deva Konyaaltı Tıp Merkezi, many pharmacies, chain supermarkets, a weekly market on Thursdays.

It also goes along the embankment to the Altinkum microdistrict. The northern border of the region is the same Ataturk Boulevard. As well as in the neighboring area, there are hotels and high-rise buildings in the coastal zone, followed by three-story and five-story residential buildings. Here is the heart of the district - the Municipality of Konyalti. The main shops are located on the main road, the nearest market takes place on Wednesdays. Hospitals in the microdistrict are Meditalya Tıp Merkez and Özel Akdenizsıfa Konyaaltı Tıp Merkezi (this hospital has translators, all inscriptions are in Russian).

Altinkum Microdistrict (Altınkum)

This is a very lively area, which originates from the coastline and goes north beyond Ataturk Boulevard, bordering the Gursu and Kushkavay microdistricts. In the coastal part of the microdistrict, buildings are mostly low-rise, behind the boulevard - five floors and not of a complex type. Those. if you are interested in a house with a swimming pool, then in Altinkum it is a rarity. There are a lot of playgrounds with exercise machines, cafes, restaurants. Naturally, in the neighborhood you can find stores of various chains everywhere. The bazaar takes place on Fridays in the Altinkum district on 447th street. The nearest hospital is Olimpos Hastanesi.

Microdistrict Uluch (Uluç)

This is enough new area for foreign property buyers in Antalya. Our company offers several objects in this area and highly recommends it for those who like comfort and quiet life, while being close to the city center at the same time. The distance to the beach here is at least 1 km. In this area there are houses of ordinary urban type, as well as complex ones. They are mainly concentrated along the banks of the Boachai River, surrounded by pine trees and citrus groves. There are very beautiful, modern complexes with all amenities. This is where the local elite lives. For walks with children there are playgrounds. The main shops are located on Mustafa Kemal Boulevard, which descends to the sea and runs perpendicular to Ataturk Boulevard. The nearest hospitals and bazaar are in Altinkum.

Microdistrict Liman (Liman)

If in other areas of Konyalti foreigners can be met not often, then in this area there are as many of them as possible. The liman goes from the beach, crosses Ataturk Boulevard and borders on the Hurma district in the north, and Gursu in the east. Why is this area so popular among foreigners? This is one of the new areas where houses are being built. modern type, and basically - these are complexes with pools of various types and architecture. On Ataturk Boulevard there are large chain supermarkets - Migros, Carrefour, Makro, Bim. Every Tuesday there is a market in Limen.

Microdistrict Hurma (Hurma)

This microdistrict borders on Liman, is not a coastal region, it rests on the Taurus Mountains. So, if you are considering buying an apartment in Antalya with a mountain view - this area is for you. Persimmon is actively developing and being built up, so the prices are very attractive. Complex-type facilities with swimming pools are also common here. There are also playgrounds and small shops-markets. The nearest market is in Liman on Tuesdays.

Properties in Konyalti Hurma

Summing up, I would like to say that in Konyaalti you can find your dream home, there is real estate for every taste, and most importantly, what unites all properties in Konyaalti is beautiful beach, developed infrastructure.

Konyaalti is a fairly large district of Antalya, which includes about a dozen smaller ones, such as Gursu, Liman, Persimmon and so on. All of them are quite beautiful and intensively developing. But, nevertheless, when choosing a place where you are going to stay for a period of stay, you should pay attention to many nuances that, in the future, may affect convenience, for one reason or another. First of all, it depends on what time of the year you are going to come and what you expect from your vacation. If we talk about the winter period, it is clear that beach holidays were not taken as a basis, because at this time, although you can swim in the sea, the water in which never drops below +17 degrees (in the coldest time), and even manage to sunbathe in sunny days, you can’t call it full-fledged anyway. Therefore, in this case, it is better to settle a little further from the coastline, where in winter it is damp and cold sea winds blow, for example, in the Khurma area, closer to the mountains. But since the bulk of tourists come to Antalya, and in this case to Konyaalti, just beyond the sea and the sun, we will consider this issue from the point of view beach holiday during the summer period. I will tell you about several interesting areas, and you will choose for yourself the most suitable option for the future.

So, I'll start from the very edge, the entrance to Antalya from Kemer, where the Konyaalti region begins. The first small, inland area is Sary Su (which translates as Yellow Water). He is quite young and developing. Literally a year and a half ago, two new beaches were equipped here, with a wonderful recreation area, which immediately became a favorite vacation spot for local residents from all over Antalya. Moreover, one beach is designed specifically for women only, which is called KadInlar PlajI(Women's beach).
The place is amazing, this is the territory of Konyaalti beach, which is located behind seaport. But, I want to note that there are no hotels in this area and you can settle here only in rented real estate, which is represented by apartments and a small number of villas. I will add that the distance to the beach is at least one and a half thousand meters, which will have to be overcome on foot or by transport. But even this is not the worst. The trouble of this area lies in the close proximity of treatment facilities, which no, no, and even make themselves felt. Therefore, I do not recommend settling here, although the prices for accommodation will be the most attractive.

Next comes the Liman area,
which starts from the port and stretches along the coast of Konyaalti beach and more than a thousand meters deep, to the Persimmon area. I can say right away that for a beach holiday, from my point of view, this is the best option. First, it starts from the sea itself. From the nearest properties to the beach, just cross the road. Large selection of real estate, both hotels and the private sector. And hotels of the most different level, from five to two stars.
There are also cheaper options, such as boarding houses. Prices, as you know, depend on many factors. Double rooms with breakfast cheap hotel start at fifty dollars a day. Three-room apartments near the beach cost about the same. The farther from the sea, the cheaper you can find housing, but hotels, more than three hundred meters from the beach (behind the street Ataturka Boulevard), is no longer available and only apartments can be rented. What else is good about this area. On Tuesdays, a mobile bazaar operates in Liman, where there is just nothing. Vegetables, fruits, fish and seafood, cheeses, various spices and oriental sweets.
In addition, clothes, shoes, and other goods are sold here. In a word, you can find everything that your heart desires, and at the most low prices. The advantages of this area include the large availability of public transport, which runs to different parts of Antalya, including the airport. There are many different cafes, restaurants and other catering establishments in Liman where you can eat well and not expensively.
The number of grocery and other stores is incalculable, since they are located on the first floors, in almost every house along the streets. And since Liman is young and dormitory area cities, there are no industrial and other enterprises here. No wonder the Konyaalti beach was awarded the blue flag. So I advise you to choose this area.

In order to save money, some people stay in the Hurma area, where rent is cheaper. It is even younger than Liman and is now being intensively built up. Its attractiveness is not only in the cost of rent, but also in the fact that it is located at the foot of the mountains, and the air here is much better and cleaner. There are no hotels here and everyone rents apartments.
The beach is not so far away, it takes 20-30 minutes to walk, and by public transport, for two lira, you can get to the sea in a couple of minutes. So, as an option, it is worth taking a closer look at this area. Currently, many foreigners, including our compatriots, buy real estate here. And this is no accident. There is an opinion that Hurma will become one of the elite areas of Antalya when it is fully built up. Now here you can buy a two-room apartment for forty thousand (euros), but prices are growing rapidly every year.

Near Arap Suyu, which is also located on the first line of Konyaalti beach, a large selection of hotels and other real estate. Its convenience is that it is within walking distance. Aquarium as well as a shopping center Migros 5M and amusement park Aktur Park.
And there is also, Miniature Museum MINI CITY where the most famous architectural structures Turkey, made in miniature. But a large number of hotels, in this case, is rather a minus, since the beach area is too crowded during the high season. In general, the area is also quite good.

In addition to these, three more areas go to the beach: Altinkum, Gyursu and Kushkava, but there, for the most part, there are residential buildings and villas that are also rented to tourists.

Here is a description of the areas that are part of Konyaalti. I think that I managed to clearly describe their features in order to add up some idea and make a certain choice.

Concerning family vacation with children, no matter which area you choose, it is in any case suitable to feel comfortable and calm. All conditions are created for children here. There are playgrounds at a distance of no more than one hundred and fifty meters from each other.
In any store you can find everything you need (baby food, baby care and hygiene products). Pharmacies are located not too far from each other, and in Liman there is a place where three pharmacies work side by side (just in the bazaar area). So you can safely go on vacation to Konyaalti, and a large number of Russian-speaking people around you will not let you feel the distance from your homeland.

If after reading this article you have any questions, then feel free to ask them in the comments, I will answer everything.

Location

One of the youngest, rapidly developing and prestigious areas of Antalya is the Liman microdistrict in the Konyaalti region.
"Liman" in Turkish means "port, harbor for ships."
In the east, the Liman microdistrict originates from the mouth of the Boachay River, where it is adjacent to the Gyursu microdistrict, and stretches along the coast mediterranean sea west to the port itself on the border with the Sarysu region. From the sea line to the north, the Liman stretched in depth for about 1 km to the border with the Khurma region.
Ataturk Boulevard - the main thoroughfare of the city - conditionally divides the microdistrict into two parts. The first is located in close proximity to the sea, these are quieter and more peaceful neighborhoods with lots of greenery, hotels and pensions of the area are located here,. The second part is located away from the sea, it is noisier, livelier, more crowded. There are shops and supermarkets, offices, schools, pharmacies, banks and all other urban infrastructure necessary for modern active life. In the second part of the microdistrict, both residential complexes and those with a small territory were built.

Population

The population of the microdistrict is international. That is why a citizen of any country in the world feels at home here. Both Antalya Turks and Turks from Istanbul and Ankara, who have retired and decided to live for themselves in a beautiful elite area, live in Liman. One of the most favorite places for foreigners who come to rest in Liman is, without a doubt, the farmers' market. Every Tuesday, in any weather, about 200 sellers of vegetables, fruits and herbs, and about 150 shops selling other goods are laid out here. In 2016, the market was reconstructed and since January it has been serving customers in a renovated covered area. Dairy shops always have a wide variety of cheeses and olives, homemade chicken eggs and butter. A large selection of fresh sea fish and seafood will delight gourmets. Nuts, spices, sweets, dried fruits - everything can be smelled and tasted. Here in the market you can buy a special trolley for weekly shopping trips.

The market is not very crowded during the morning and afternoon hours. At this time, you can take your time to go around all the counters, compare prices, choose best goods. Not only Turkish citizens, but also foreigners with a residence permit can get first aid there, donate blood for tests, get a consultation from a therapist. Here, not far from the clinic, there are 4 pharmacies at once. In many of them, Russian-speaking staff will meet you and help you with your purchases. Parks and playgrounds

The highlight of the Liman microdistrict is the "Matryoshek Park", or "Russian Park", built in honor of the friendship of the Russian and Turkish peoples. The park was opened in 2013 and since then has been the main reference point for everyone coming to Liman. In the center of the park there is a clock tower and a fountain of white-blue-red colors. The symbol of the park is 8 matryoshka dolls lined up according to height and attracting attention with bright colors. Turkey is symbolized by a sculpture in the form of a large Turk (cezve), from which Turkish coffee is poured into a cup. Benches for rest are placed around the entire perimeter of the park, children will enjoy a small playground and a cafe with delicious natural ice cream for every taste - Dondurma Dükkanı. Sea and beach

The biggest plus of the Liman microdistrict is, of course, the proximity of the sea and the beach. The beach here is small-pebbled, with a gentle entry into the sea, marked blue flag for cleanliness and environmental friendliness. The city municipality organizes daily cleaning of the entire beach line. The calmest sea with clear turquoise water can be seen in the morning hours. Beach in the Liman city area, admission to it is free. Several sections of the beach are equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas, you can rent them for a small fee. Toilets on the beach are free, there are also changing rooms, showers, slopes and ramps for wheelchairs and prams. In the summer season, there are many sellers of sims, corn, ice cream, drinks. Lovers aquatic species sports can ride on a jet ski, banana or parachute.
A beautiful well-groomed promenade stretches along the beach with bicycle and pedestrian paths, benches for relaxing, and small cafes. The entire embankment is beautifully landscaped with palm trees and ornamental plants.
The Liman microdistrict can be safely called the most optimal and comfortable option for a beach holiday in Antalya. Infrastructure big city combined with clean sea and mountain air, lack of large production and, as a result, excellent ecology, proximity to the sea and the beach, Amazing beauty mountains - all this gives the area great value and affects the annual growth in demand among property buyers.

Liman real estate

The Liman microdistrict is the most popular place among buyers. Here, at your choice, there is a fenced area, and a swimming pool, and.
Rental prices in the Liman microdistrict start from 800 Turkish liras per month (200 euros) and go up to 3000 liras per month (760 euros).
The minimum price of an apartment in Liman is about
Pricing depends on the footage, distance from the sea, the infrastructure of the residential complex and the floor on which the apartment is located.
There are very few villas in the Liman microdistrict, mostly apartment complexes are being built here.
In recent years, there has been an acute shortage of land plots in the Liman microdistrict. There is practically no new construction here, so purchase and sale transactions are made mainly on the secondary market, apartments are no longer sold from developers, but from individuals. Nevertheless, the Liman district is a young, beautiful district that lives an active life, and the housing stock here is new, most of the residential complexes are not older than 5-6 years.
Real estate in Liman is considered one of the most liquid in Turkey, and there are obvious reasons for this: beautiful nature, clean beach, developed infrastructure and lack of land.

The Liman microdistrict is the best place for both recreation and living.

Still, when you live in the city for such a long time, you want to see not only the sights, but also feel like a local resident. To begin with, of course, we explored the districts of Antalya and their quarters, in which our daily life proceeded - Khurma and Liman, located in the Konyaalti region. Then we wandered around the historical center, Kaleici, Ishiklal Street. On the way to the airport, while traveling by car, we got acquainted with the Northern regions of Antalya. We also paid attention to another large prestigious microdistrict Lara.

In general, Antalya is administratively divided into three large districts or districts: Muratpasa, Konyaalti and Kepez. Further, as is customary in our country, large areas are divided into microdistricts. For example, in Konyaalti there are 7 such microdistricts - Arapsuyu, Uluch, Gyursu, Udzhaly, Persimmon, Liman and Sarysu. There are 64 of them in the largest district of Muratpasha, including the center, Lara, which itself is subdivided into a dozen quarters. Kepez is a former town that has become part of Antalya.

Hurma and Liman - tourist quarters of the large Konyaalti region in Antalya

First of all, I think the neighborhood of Khurma in Konyaalti is of interest. It is there that Russian-speaking residents of Antalya often live. This is how it looks on the map:

If it is important for you that the road to the sea is much shorter, then you need to choose the Liman microdistrict. Site is higher in quality and prices than in Persimmon, but you can find very good options. The microdistrict itself can also be divided into two parts: the one up to Ataturk Avenue and the one closer to the sea, behind the avenue. In the first case, there is more noise, next to the market, which buzzes once a week, offices of firms. In the second one, it is quieter and calmer, there is no noise from the road, there is more greenery in the yards, older houses, so you can immediately see how the economy is run and whether people care about housing. However, the big disadvantage of the apartments in this quarter is the high humidity. We also had this shortcoming. Things just didn't dry well. In addition, winds are stronger closer to the sea. Basically, foreigners who come here to relax or locals for business on renting real estate buy apartments near the sea. Therefore, when we were in Antalya, there were practically no people there, traders of seasonal goods and excursions were frankly bored.

The new district of Konyaalti is Sarisu. It is very beautiful there, indeed - the microdistrict is located on the road to Kemer and is surrounded by picturesque mountains, and the Mediterranean Sea is visible from the windows of the houses. There is a nice beach. Opposite is also a passenger pier and you can watch cruise ships, often visiting Antalya. Real estate prices in Sarisu are lower than in Hurma and Liman, and the apartments are more comfortable. However, the microdistrict has one drawback that overrides all its many advantages - these are treatment facilities, from which, after rains and at a certain the wind is coming very bad smell. Those few times when we traveled through Sarysu to Kemer, we clearly felt it, and this really blurs the impression of natural attractions right away. But it seems that the authorities are concerned about this problem and are trying to solve it.

The center of Antalya and Kaleici - the old city in the city

The Muratpasa district is not only the largest and most populated in Antalya, it is the largest single conglomeration of inhabitants on the entire Mediterranean coast of Turkey. Due to its length, reviews of the area will be the most controversial, since it includes the central microdistricts, and Kaleichi, and Lara with its quarters, and the airport area.

City center

Of course, as soon as you arrive in a city, you immediately go to its center, since, usually, the most interesting things are concentrated there. In this regard, Antalya responds and does not respond to this approach at the same time.

If we talk simply about the administrative center of the city, then there is nothing special about it. Well-groomed Ataturk Park, located along the Mediterranean Sea on the rocks that go into the water. Monuments to historical figures and important moments in Turkish history. Squares with flower beds and fountains. The most important thing in all this, it seemed to me, is the sea itself, into which you can peer for a very long time, considering the play of colors of the water surface and the shine of the sun in this blue. Otherwise, it’s nice to look, take a walk, drink tea in the tea gardens (the so-called cafes where you can drink tea, coffee, take some kind of sweetness).

If you go deep into the city from the sea, then another center will meet you here. The noise of cars honking and roaring, the polluted dusty air, the shops next to the sidewalk, the merchants sitting there and drinking tea, loud barkers.

We go from MarkAntalya towards Migros along Ataturk Avenue. It's hard to talk to each other because of the noise.)

When we walked there during the day, we really wanted to quickly pass these streets and hide somewhere from the noise and breathe in fresh air. At the same time, I remind you once again that these were not the hottest days in terms of temperature and tourism. Imagine what's going on in the summer. You can save yourself by reaching the large shopping center Mark Antalya, where one of the Antalya universities is located.

For us, Mark Antalya was a landmark, having reached which, we knew exactly where we were and how to get home, since the building itself is tall, and also shimmers with colorful lights in the dark.

Kaleichi

From Mark Antalya to the sea there is a pedestrian street that will lead you to the end of Ataturk Avenue. At this point, it narrows and occupies one lane in each direction, next to it is a tram. The avenue smoothly flows into Ishiklal Boulevard, or Lantern Boulevard - a place for young people and tourists to walk. There are many cafes, various shops, there are currency exchange offices with good rates. Walking along the boulevard, you can turn into the streets of the old city - Kaleichi or walk to the gates of Hadrian and enter there. Kaleici itself is attractive for its history, architecture and unpleasant street trading, penetrating all its streets. Barkers personally annoyed us, because we had to walk with our eyes under our feet, because for any look aimed at looking at, the answer was immediately an invitation to see something, buy, eat, drink, go on an excursion. When there are a lot of tourists, the attention of the merchants is dispersed in the crowd, but when the season is over, their efforts fall on you unfortunate) and at first you are joking, and then it just gets boring.

However, a walk through the old city is a great pastime both in the daytime and in the dark. Happy with numerous viewing platforms you can look at the sea and breathe in the fresh sea air. In the evening, a beautiful backlight turns on, you can safely walk along the narrow streets, sit in a cafe.

The tram will take you to Kaleici.
We drink tea in a cafe overlooking the yacht port in Kaleici. Behind - the wall of the city fortress.

Airport area

You will immediately get acquainted with this area on the way from Antalya Airport and you will see that there is nothing particularly attractive in it. 15-20 buildings, merchants with containers, industrial bases. Even if you are not a tourist, there is nothing to do here, because, in addition to everything, there are security issues.

Lara is a prestigious district of Antalya

If we compare the two districts of Antalya Konyaalti and Lara, then each of the tourists has their own preferences. In principle, both Lara and Konyaalti have beaches. In Lara they are sandy. The advantage in this case is soft sand underfoot, and not hard and sharp stones, and the disadvantage is not as clear water as on a pebble beach. In Konyaalti, it is a rocky, very long and wide beach located in the city. Nearby is Akdeniz Avenue. This is both good and bad at the same time: good because you can use public transport, bad - a little noise and dust from transport (however, heavy vehicles and trucks are not allowed to enter it during the tourist season). We visited both beaches and it was our beach in the Liman area that we liked.

Both areas have a well-developed infrastructure, everything is at hand and within walking distance. They differ in atmosphere. Konyaalti is more of a sleeping area suitable for families. a relaxing holiday, where you can go to the markets, sit in restaurants, go to a decent shopping center. Lara is an area for wealthy locals and Turkish tourists from Istanbul who come to Antalya to rest. There are many office centers here, not only “Migros 5m” shopping centers, but also “Terracity” and “For she”, “Laura”, large mono and multi-brand stores with world brands of clothes, shoes, accessories. The restaurants here are bigger and more pretentious. There are low-rise buildings and high houses, standing on the first line near the sea, from where a gorgeous view opens. From the infrastructure football fields, courts, treadmills along the park area. The level of residents of Lara's microdistricts is immediately noticeable by the cars that park near the houses - Mercedes, Porsche, Ferrari, BMW. And not like in Hurma, where, basically, people drive budget car brands. However, the cost of renting housing in Lara is much higher, which often scares off most tourists who do not want to overpay for the image.

Northern neighborhoods of Antalya

In addition to the tourist areas in Antalya, there are also those where residents with a lower income level live, for whom the determining factor in choosing housing is its price, perhaps proximity to work. The third huge district of Antalya is Kepez.

Until recently, it was a separate city. We ourselves did not go to Kepez, for us it was unattractive, but our compatriots living in Antalya do not recommend not only living there, but not even walking. Some quarters are inhabited by Kurds and Gypsies, which leaves a corresponding imprint on the crime rate. They say that after dark the police don't even go there. In addition, they heat there, mainly, with potbelly stoves on an incomprehensible fuel, therefore, with the onset of cold weather, smog hangs over the houses. The parks are unkempt, the residents are poorly educated. There are several new quarters, however, the distance to the sea and the surrounding reality still does not speak in favor of Kepez.

Here is such a small information about the districts of Antalya. I think it will help you decide on a place to rent real estate or buy it, as there were cases when people decided to buy an apartment, and then got acquainted with all the shortcomings of the areas in which they had to live.
