Tourists' stories about the Costa del Maresme.

We decided with the family to opt for a vacation on the Costa del Maresme in a small quiet town Santa Susanna in June and, looking ahead, I will say that we were not mistaken! this coast and the city itself is not far from the beautiful Barcelona, where a silent train runs along the coast, which delivers directly to the heart of the Catalan capital in less than an hour. This is very good, because when you get a little bored with a beach holiday, it is very easy and simple to get there. But first things first. beach holiday in Santa Susanna is just great. This is a municipal well-maintained beach with small pebbles and a rather steep entrance to the water. When we were on vacation, the water temperature was always about 23-25 degrees, the air was about 30. But the temperature is very easy to bear, because a wonderful breeze blows from the sea. True, from time to time on this crystal clear sea, where fish scurry about, which can be easily seen, there are waves, see for yourself ...

In the town of Kaleiya (in Russian pronunciation Kalella) I rested twice. I will talk about the latter, as a more recent impression. Calella refers to the Costa del Maresme (translated as "seashore"). This is the part of the coast that stretches northeast from Barcelona. Of the tourist towns of this coast, Calella is the closest to Barcelona, there are constantly trains going there, and therefore it is an ideal point to combine sea vacation and sightseeing trips.

I heard a lot about Spain and a great vacation on the Mediterranean coast in resorts near Barcelona from friends and acquaintances. All reviews were overwhelmingly positive. Resting three years in a row in Greece, I decided to change direction and decided to rest in Spain. I chose one of the many tourist areas in the travel agency under the sonorous name of Costa del Maresme, which is an hour's drive from Barcelona.

Latest reviews of Costa del Maresme hotels.

Rested with her husband in Catalonia in June this year. They settled us quickly and without any problems in a room located on the eighth floor and overlooking the city. Of course, it was very noisy from the road and we had to sleep with the windows closed at night. And the air conditioner was also quite noisy, so we turned it off periodically.

In general, they cleaned our house every day, but I can’t call this cleaning ideal because the box from the pizza we ate lay on the balcony for two whole days. The bed linen was changed only once. The rooms themselves are very small and old, but we did not go here to lie in the room. Therefore, they were not particularly upset about this.

There was a hair dryer in the room, but it turned out to be not working, we went to the reception and told us about it, so we quickly got another one in return. And there was still a severe lack of a refrigerator, there was nowhere to put water to cool, neither fruit nor food that we bought. The same jamon that we love very much had nowhere to put it.

We paid for breakfast and dinner from food. Of course, there were no special frills, but in general there was enough of everything, besides, the abundance of fruits was very pleasing. There was also meat and fish.

Several times during the rest, my husband and I took a glass of wine, and I must say that the prices for it here are quite affordable. However, there were always queues to the dining room whenever we tried to go there. We tried walking at different times, but the effect was the same. It's just that the hall itself is not designed for such a number of guests.

And we also regretted that we did not immediately take a full board, once we only changed dinner for lunch because we were going to an evening performance. Shops are all near the hotel, very convenient. The sea is great and the beach is very clean. The town itself is amazingly quiet.

One excursion was taken from hotel guide and one in the city and were amazed that the prices are generally the same. Rest were very, very satisfied.

If we talk about general impression In general, we liked the hotel. And for the service in it, I immediately put a solid five. When we first arrived at the hotel, we were immediately greeted by a surprisingly friendly and charming girl named Alexandra. She explained everything to us in detail, gave us the keys and we immediately settled. At the reception here, in general, many people speak Russian, so there are no problems in this matter.

For the entire period at the hotel, you can immediately order the so-called "tea set" for ten euros. This includes the electric kettle itself with cups, then coffee and tea, as well as cream with sugar. The room has a paid safe, for a week of use you have to pay 20 euros.

The refrigerator, in general, is also paid, but we did not specify the cost because we did not use it at all. The TV is a modern plasma, but we never even turned it on. There is a large balcony, but there is nowhere to dry clothes there, so you need to take a rope with you. Everything in the room takes a long time to dry. There is a hostel opposite and many in the reviews wrote that it made too much noise. But during our time of rest everything was quiet and calm there, maybe we were just lucky in this.

The room was cleaned daily and bed linen and towels were changed regularly. They are generally white and pure. The bathroom had a bathtub itself, then a bidet, and a large mirror. There is a hair dryer and tiles, surprisingly everywhere, absolutely intact without chips.

For food, I also put five with a plus. There was a lot of everything - both fish and meat, a lot of fruits and even gave champagne in the morning. They are greeted in the restaurant like relatives, everyone is smiling, very nice and pleasant. Many thanks to them for such a constant warm welcome. We always go to the restaurant with great pleasure.

Since we lived in an economy room, there was no Wi-Fi at all, it was possible in principle to connect, but only for a fee. And downstairs in the hall and also on the terrace, he catches well. On Mondays at half past nine in the evening, flamenco performers come to the hotel and give colorful performances. We went and we really enjoyed it. There is no children's animation as such in the hotel, but children dance in the lobby in the evenings if anyone wants to.

The sea is just wonderful, but until June 25 the water was very cold. Well, then it got warmer and everything became wonderful. Sometimes there were pleasant waves and a couple of times a strong wind broke. The beach has very coarse sand, but I think it's a great foot massage.

The village in which we rested is called Calella is an absolutely wonderful place, there is the sea nearby and there are a lot of shops nearby. And along the sea in the evenings it’s very cool to walk along sycamore alley. We even got to an interesting festival there. In general, we are delighted with the rest and Spain too! The hotel is wonderful!

We decided this year with a friend to expand the circle of our vacation, otherwise we all travel to Turkey, Egypt, we were in Bulgaria, in Greece and also in Cyprus. Well, this year in June they took their children and waved to Spain - to the Costa del Maresme. In this country, of course, we rested for the first time, so we involuntarily compared all the time - how it was there and how it was here. The four of us settled in an apartment, that is, it was a living room, then a bedroom, a small kitchen and a bathroom. There were two very small balconies, but I immediately warn you that you need to grab a rope with clothespins with you, because there is nowhere to dry clothes here except on the railing. All rooms are brand new and of course serviceable furniture. In general, the room itself is beautifully decorated in delicate blue and white tones. In the bedroom there was a large double bed and in the living room there was a huge sofa that we immediately dismantled and then did not fold during the rest. Because of him, in fact, there was no space left in the room at all, we even turned to the reception to temporarily take the table from our room. Of course, our request was recorded, but never fulfilled. Therefore, we simply took the table and moved it into a corner, and therefore, well, at least there was a little more space. And of course it was tight. There was only one very small locker for clothes, and for four people it was, of course, small. There was another shelf and more and more nothing, no chest of drawers, no dressing table. There was nowhere to put things. The kitchen had a full set of utensils - plates, cups, glasses, toaster, juicer, microwave, refrigerator, all sorts of appliances and the like. For those who are resting without meals, it is very convenient, there is everything you need to cook your own food. It is very bad that the apartments here do not provide for cleaning and garbage removal. All this is done for a fee. If you don't want to pay, be prepared to mop the floors and take out the trash yourself. Bed linen was changed exactly a week later, but towels could be changed as much as you like. Be sure to bring tees, extension cords, everything you have because there are only two sockets for the whole room. The territory of the hotel is essentially not available at all. There is an adult pool and a children's pool with such a cute slide, they both close at seven in the evening and open only at nine in the morning. The adult pool is fenced and of course the sunbeds are removed. And even if you want to take them at 6 in the morning, you will not succeed, because everything is closed. There is also a small courtyard in which there is a small paid cafe. We ate pizza and pasta there several times. In the evenings we heard music playing there. But it's still the beginning of the season. On June 20, animators appeared at the hotel. But all performances and classes were very weak. The restaurant is also quite small, but there were never any problems with empty seats. Everything is always clean and tidy and the tables are cleared. Everything was delicious and there was enough for us - both fish and meat, of course there was jamon, mussels, they always cooked something on the grill for dinner, there were sweet watermelons, cherries, apricots, melons, peaches, bananas, well, and much more. Dinner was always delicious ice cream. Personally, I was very pleased with the food, but for my friend, the breakfasts seemed very monotonous. Well, she was upset in vain because they are essentially the same everywhere. But fortunately, every day at least something new was added for a change either pancakes or fried cheese. Well, everything was fine for me. All drinks at dinner were paid, but my friend and I did not take wine for ten euros if you could buy the same in a store nearby for two euros. Just a couple of minutes walk to the sea. The sea is very clean, but the water is still cool in June, and yet the main thing is to go in and you get used to it. The beach is very clean and there were very few people in early June. This is the most important difference from our past vacation trips, so this is the organization of the collection and collection of tourists. Since Spain has very narrow streets and it is impossible for buses to get there, all tourists are dropped off at bus stops. public transport, and there they already have to get to the hotel themselves. And maybe it's useful for someone - in the center of Calella there is a long shopping street, there are shops with souvenirs, clothes and cafes. There are shops where everything is sold really cheap. So we liked the rest, the hotel is perfect for a relaxing holiday, and Calella itself is also a very calm and quiet city. Young people here, of course, will be bored. Well, we certainly fell in love with Spain! We hope to meet again!
